I currently own two laptops (a macbook and a windows one). It didn't take long to adjust to a laptop and the two different operating systems at all (but that was for me, so it won't apply to everyone )
laptop feeling is unique. - yeah, there is definitely somethin about it, Once you get used to it, you never want to get back to your desktop
I just bought a laptop for college, a Dell Inspiron 1520. In my opinion its the best valued laptop you can buy currently.
Good to hear! Hopefully it's really excititing when I get it (not that it isn't atm either! ) Well, that says something good! How many laptops have you had so far? I guess it just depends how you want to use it, but laptops are coming down in price and being more reasonable these days.
As in buying a new one? Or upgrading ram/HD? Just found out, after emailing HP, it has a 8600M GS - which is a bit of a blow, won't be as good for gaming as I was hoping. I'll probably still get it though!
Sony's are nice, but i'd reccomend looking round if I were you - from looking, it seems with Sony's - you have to pay quite a bit more to get a similar spec to a HP for example, sometimes it's still not as good. I'd only go with a Vaio for it's looks, and it seems silly to spend extra for looks (imho).
On wednesday I bought a HP Pavillion DV9574 and im loving it so far! Much preferable over a desktop. Sitting in the armchair with a laptop - very comfortable! Btw about to update my thread about me getting the laptop with pics, so if you're interested, watch out for it.
