Has anyone ever done this and ask for any tips on how to fix the situation? Just wondering if anyone has ever contacted them about it.
can you explain a bit more about what you mean, i for one dont really understand the situation - am i being thick?
My guess is that you'd get either no response, or something that says their methods are proprietary so to protect the integrity of the system they can't reveal their techniques. And then they'd refer you to the Webmaster Guidelines page.
Iv never asked them, but I am 100% sure this is the "standard" answer you would get. Unless of course you got a very very nice rep who answered your email who might tell you a tiny bit more lol.
I have sent them two emails about it. One saying that i am recieiving 4 times as much per click with bidvertiser. And asking why im being smart priced. I didn't get a reply. The second time i also didn't get a reply. I suggest people write to them. The more people who do the more they will realise they need to get this problem sorted. It is a problem. And its easily fixed. They have harsher guidelines for advertisers and problem solved.
No they have stagnated even with large increases in traffic. So my traffic has improved heaps but the clicks are earning less, so i should be earning a lot more, but unfortunately im earning the same.
if all of that new traffic isn't converting for the advertisers, your epc will go down. google calls it "smart pricing"... you should probably look closely at where that new traffic is coming from.
Its not a problem. Try to understand how Adsense works. If you remember, last time we tried to help you understand this VERY concept. Smartpricing is here to stay coz publishers dont convert. Think from advertisers perspective. If you start some crap MFA mesothelioma site, you expect advertiser to pay you $5 per click when your visitors are clicking for fun and to make you some money? Creating quality site is the only way not to get smart priced.
It's not about the quality of your pages, it's about conversion for the advertiser. Because you've got good quality, you might be enjoying good traffic but if that traffic is of no good to the advertiser (no sales, not of any benefits at all), then you will be smart priced.
I'm pretty sure most of us are SmartPriced nowadays. A "method" to unStartPrice yourseld was discussed a few months ago, not sure if it's still working and if it's safe to use if (removing the AdSense code completely from the site for a few days).
lol, that's the funny thing. I actually did this to try out YPN a few months ago and after I went back onto Adsense I got like 10 times more than I normally earn for about 2 days.
