Website in sandbox...

    Hello all,

Google sandboxed one of my new'ish' websites. I'd say its around 3 months old. Its been on the 1st page of google for a couple months and now its gone. I'm afraid I did something wrong and now I'm being penalized for it. Here is what I have done so far:

    1. Created a website with original keyword rich content
    2. Wrote an article with anchor text for my keyword, then submitted it to about 20 article directories
    3. Submitted my website to about 10 seo friendly directories per day for about 2 weeks. Most of them were free, some I paid for.
    4. Found some link partners

I'm not sure what I did wrong. I do the same things for every website I own and they are still on the first page of google.

    Any suggestions?

My theory is that a new site will rank high at first while google "evaluates" it with user-behavior (bounce rate, etc) then lets it float to the bottom of the serps... slowly over time (months?) it will raise back to it's rightful place..

So - IMHO you probably didnt do anything wrong, you just have to wait..

Check this thread...some of have noticed that this happens periodically to our sites. If so, we'll probably all come back.

I agree with Tearabite and Alfredito.

I experienced the same effect with a new site.
I just waited and kept building links to it.
Then (after a while) sometimes the site was there in the first pages of Google (for my main keywords), sometimes at page 15 or lower.
Now it is back where it should be.

I had something similar happen to my site. As I have read, it should come back. Just keep working on the SEO.

Just keep on optimizing and getting more quality backlinks pointing to your website from high pagerank sites and try to use more anchor text in your backlinks then you will recover.
