I am going to give them a call tomorrow to find out what is going on. Not sure if its restricted to UK arm or USA also but UK seems to have problems. I will let you know how I get on but I still think its unfair emailing an account manager 3 times and a general email enquiry 3 times and not even get a ticket or email, very poor. Other UK experiences appreciated.
Some ad network company (You-Know-Who)will use ...-noreply@.........com and send their message to your email account with no replies. Not strange. Find new ad network and enjoy it.
@thefanta: I am not in the UK but it's the UK office that handles my account. My experience had already been indicated in this thread. I agree with your sentiment - it's very poor service. Let us know what you hear from them.
My advice would be to call them again, and ask for the direct email address of the person you're speaking to - then send your details to them while they're on the phone. Might also be worth asking them specifically to either copy you in should they have to forward your email on, or if they're the person who deals with your info, have them directly email confirmation of receipt to you. If you use a VOIP service such as Skype, look into ways to record the call too (Powergramo works great for this, and I think its free) I'd generally recommend this for any dealings of this nature, rather than your communications just being another bunch of emails lost in their systems.
Just been on the phone to Value Click and spoke to a nice lady called Samima. She explained they have been having technical issues, apologised and said my payment would be processed next week or at the beginning of the following week. Another 2 weeks grace seems fair enough and if I get no joy, I will be back on the phone to them. They said the technical issue had affected many publishers so I expect they have not replied to emails as they are snowed under with the volume they have received. I will keep eveyone posted as to when I receive payment, but a phone call is the only way to speed the process up.
I'm with ValueClick UK, they haven't paid or replied my emails. I contacted US office but they said they had no control over my account and would try to make the UK office contact me, but so far I haven't heard anything from them.
I decided to give them a call two days ago and finally got paid. However, I wonder once I put the ValueClick ads back on my site, if I have to call them every time to get paid.
Well it has been a week since I called them and still no sign of any payment, I will give them another call tomorrow just to make sure I am getting it in the next 7 days. Payments still owing for April, May, June, July and August. Not very good IMHO
Second phone call to VClick worked wonders here in the UK. My advice is to phone them, get the name and email addy of the person you are speaking to and get them to confirm whether you are on this months payment list. Their next payment date is 20th September 2007 and my account shows the payment date in blue for the first time. Technical problems do happen and if anyone feels they have missed out this time, they can ask to be included in a manual payment. It all came good in the end thanks to two phone calls.
Ok I called again yesterday and spoke to a Matthew Beck. He was indeed apologetic about my situation but he also told me something quite unusual - the accounts people don't share information with the publisher support people. So he advised me to email him directly my bank details so that he can verify with the accounts people that I have indeed mailed them the same info previously. He also asked why has my page impressions dropped and I told him that because I didn't know the status of my account, I had no confidence in the system so I reduced the placements on my site. Again he apologised for that. Frankly I think the publisher support people are in a thankless job if the company itself does not do anything to support them. My impression so far is that VC Media UK do not have any idea in dealing with publishers outside of the UK. Why they can't implement Paypal like VC Media USA, or indeed most other advertising companies I do not know. Or, why couldn't they have at least retained the "sending out a cheque" option? I'm currently waiting for an acknowledgment to the email that I had to send again yesterday. My fingers are still crossed. It's now almost 2 months since I first notified them of my problem.
Just thought I'd post two recent threads which are similar to the situation here: ( Help! ValueClick not paying!) http://www.earnersforum.com/t15983/ ( vcmedia (uk) refuse to pay. (long)) http://www.earnersforum.com/t16205/ (Any European publishers received ValueClick UK payment?) http://www.sitepoint.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3497568
You may get an email from Mr Beck, but I sent him 4 emails and none of them ever got acknowledged and no payment got made relying on emails sent to him. I know he is a busy man and he has been helpful with other issues, so try phoning them as this is the only solution as emails never work. Ask to speak to Samina. She sorted my payment out very quickly. They have made this months payment already, so you can ask for a manual payment if you can't wait another month. I know it seems like waiting forever, but they do sort out your payment in the end.
