Do You Like My "Bling"??

Hey Guys,

Well i have just come out of hospital last week, and have had an operation to straighten out my right leg because i have rickets. here is a picture of my leg:



Those metal bars are connected to my bone. my bone is currently snapped into 3 seperate pieces.

Here is some XRays of my Femur bones too!



I always knew i had a screw loose, but now im worth so much to the British Government they want to Recycle me when i die!!!

Thank you. its not a nice thing to have to have but no worries. there is no clear time as to how long i need to have it on because my condition and this particlular form of treatment doesnt have many successes to judge it by, but i had one on my left leg which was there for 16 months.

 

Why do you need that btw?

I have a bit of bling too, but thankfully it's hidden under my skin.

Thank you. i have it because i have a condition called rickets, and basically as ive grown, my bones are bowed, so instead of being straight like II they are bowed like () - by having a frame like that they snap your bones, reposition the bones and hold them in place whilst they heal with that frame.

that frame also has the ability for me to tighten up parts of it on a daily basis so that over the period of 12 months, it slowly forces my bone back into a straight position - much like braces you have in your mouth to make your teeth straight

WOW are they really XRays of your face? ive never seen XRays like that before.

Technically, it's a 3D CT scan....

 

Looks painful but I also have a couple of "bling" in my forehead.

 

Oh i see, thats why it looks different from an xray then. ive had a couple of CT scans before for my whole body as i have to have both my legs straightened, when thats done my ankles, knees & hips have to be replaced. then to top it all off i have to have 2 metal rods inserted into my spine to straighten that out.

Approx 10 years worth of operations my doctors are saying
