Is it necessary to verify your bank account (According to their procedure, sending money first to them and receiving it back with a special verification code) before you could make a bank withdrawal request?

Yup.. Its compulsory, i have done the withdrawn earlier and it took around 40 days to get the money in may bank.. it includes the verification days.

moreover, i faced a problem as the code (MB claims to send) was nowhere in my bank statement.. so i had to fax my bank statement mentioning that transaction (the test transaction) and then i got the funds..

but after that it was easy.

An easier way to do this is to verify your address first.
If you verified it, than you don't need to verify your bank account anymore, you can withdraw with no problems.

I have verified my address already, got the letter in just 3 days. That means I can make a withdrawal request without verifying the bank account now?

I've also verified my address, but I'm not sure if you can withdraw any money. It must be by cheque then, rather than by bank transfer.

LOL, go to withdraw, if they allows you than you can, if they don't then you can't ;)

My bank wire withdraws take less than 24 hours.

No, It is not important to send them money first. You can simply add your bank account and then withdraw you bank account. Once you've first payment withdrawn to your bank account, it will come with a specific code which they will ask when you will try to do a bank withdrawal for the second time. So just go for the withdrawal mate :)

Thanks for the answer, mate. I also thought that why it should be necessary to send them the funds first when they have to send it back. They could easily use the funds in my account for that purpose. I'll request the withdrawal in couple of days. Thanks everyone :)

I agree with Disguised. Just wanted to elaborate it more.

You have to withdraw less then $20 first time and they send a reference code (which is needed on the 2nd withdrawal) with your Payment which you can ask from your bank. Once you confirm that code on 2nd withdrawal, you receive an email saying that your Bank Account has been verified.

Ah.. I was thinking to withdraw $200 for the first time. Are you sure that we can't withdraw more than $20 on first time? I don't know how much I'll get after all the fee deductions..

Yes you can't withdraw more than $20 if you are yet to get the code. Like you never withdrew before so you won't be able to withdraw more than $20 in first go.

There are no bank charges btw ;) only $2.50 Moneybookers withdrawal fee, so you are not going to pay a lot in fees.
