Iv been waiting for this day for a year. I now have a very cool card that gives me access to this cool little room at uni. Unlimited access to all Microsoft software, Unlimited access to 12 dedicated servers, unlimited access to all apple products, anonymous access to the net, my dedicated work station with a £12.000 quad processor puppy with two flat screens, unlimited access to the most powerful computers in the world computer science department is working on and I'm already on the waiting list for an iphone i will be able to use for a month... Who is jealous? On a down side when i live uni i will only be able to keep the software i get my hands on PS: Oh and did i mention the state of the art media studio? But the spots for it are limited.
After doing computer science i moved onto Internet management and web design and because our group consists of like 10 people they have the facilities for everyone
Awesome. My university had something like this as well. I had a friend who had regular access to a pretty sweet cluster that they'd use for all sort of frivalous activities. Most larger public universities I've been to own millions of dollars worth of computer hardware and software, and only a few people who really demand access to it. It really is a geek paradise.
But to be honest considering that every student pays at least £3000/year they can afford it especially with all the discounts and Microsoft partnership.
I don't even know what all of that means. Free access to cool computers. That's all I understand, and yes, I'm jealous.
