I was looking at apple.com/au recently and saw they don't sell any iphones but yet they sell itouch's, I was wandering whats the difference between the two? http://store.apple.com/133-622/WebO...browse&mco=42C0467A&node=home/ipod/ipod_touch Can you still make phone calls with the iTouch?
iTouch has everything the iPhone has except the phone feature. If you want the iPhone without starting a new contract (unless you are planning to hack it) then go with the iTouch. If you do want to make calls on your iPod and can afford the minimum plan of 60 dollars a month (unless again youa re planning to hack the phone) then go with the iPhone. Be where though it lacks GPS and basic productivity features like word processing and so on.
Well it has dropped 200 bucks but if that is still too expensive do with the Touch. As I said before if you do get the iPhone do not look at it as a replacement for your Blackberry, Palm Treo or Windows Mobile device because it definitely is not.
iPhone - iTouch = phone. Basically from what I can see, iTouch is simply an advanced version of an iPod except with an iPhone interface.
They are pretty much the same except for the phone feature. There have been reports of a possible problem with the contrast levels on the iTouch when playing videos, but I assume that's something Apple is going to fix.
THey both pretty much look the same i think. i am going to wait for the iphone to be released in the uk, id rather have one gadget that does everything then having to carry around an itouch and a mobile phone
All in all I'd say if you already have a cell phone don't waste money on the iPhone. Get the iTouch and be happy.
