hello! I know a popular blogspot that running about 2 years already about only providing link to full movies download. There are maybe thousand posts. I think it should be against adsense TOS, but why they are using it and earn money that way? Blog writer is smart, he write posts about movie and give links of download indirectly to filehoster site. e.g: A post about a movie with descriptions. and he put a link of download information to another his site that not say anything abut this movie but just only a link to filehoster(rapidshare, megaupload...) to get that movie. So he can earn double from his main blog and his another site. Please anyone clear about this, is it against TOS? So I will report to google as soon as you tell me.
There is nothing wrong with that as long as visually there is no adult, mature content. This writer is smart, he provided a link to it and if his movie poster or pictures does not prove of any against the TOS then reporting is of no use.
I would guess this is a violation of the TOS - Google does not care if he's hosting the video's himself, or just providing links to them. But that's just a guess.
Rapidshare and megaupload aren't considered illegal, right? Same with anime streaming sites ... linking/embedding youtube/veoh videos that might me considered illegal ... but Adsense is still up and running on them.
Point of clarification: Just because Adsense is still up and running on a site does not mean that site is not violating the rules. I would not use this as criteria for determining if something violates the Adsense TOS and usage polices.
i have read in adsense TOS "download MP3" is against TOS but i never heard that movie download , youtube embedding is illegal, but when the publisher will give adult , porn related movie or copyrighted content ( video + movie ) will be against TOS till they report complaint to google via DMCA i Guss ....
IMO, its against TOS. Just like other warez sites/forums, he is linking the page where the copyright protected material is links.
hmm there is nothing against TOS he is linking to legal site with no porn contents..but if there is nothing in hes blog xcept links to movies i doubt its against tos!
You guys mean that if you publish youtube, dailymotion or similar content on your webpage, is that illegal? ... I would not agree with this, as you publish material from youtube and if the content is illegal youtube should be penalised not you.... can someone asnwer to this pls?
What do you think if you work so hard on legal content and get very less income than someone who just trying to find easy thousand illegal contents?
dailymotion is not based in the u.s., which is the only reason that they have lasted as long as they did, but they have been sued: "Dailymotion is Removing Illegal Videos Last month the spotlight was on France-based video-sharing site Dailymotion, which Forbes magazine noticed was a magnet for copyrighted videos. Forbes even pointed out how an entire secondary market of Web sites had grown around Dailymotion, sites which simply collated and pointed to the illicit clips. But now it looks like Dailymotion is cleaning up its act. Several sites that collate copyrighted clips on Dailymotion, such as the Simpson's-centric allsimps.com, have shut down. And searching for several different types of copyrighted material on Dailymotion returns no results." http://www.reelpopblog.com/2006/12/dailymotion_is_.html "DailyMotion: a ‘hosting provider’ liable for copyright infringement The President of the High Court of First Instance of Paris, in a summary order dated 22 June 2007, held that despite the fact that MySpace is a hosting provider, it acts as a publisher and may therefore be held liable for copyright infringement on its site (see our post here below: ‘The Buttock’ sues MySpace for copyright infringement’, also at http://juriscom.net/actu/visu.php?ID=942)." http://copyrightfrance.blogspot.com/2007/07/dailymotion-hosting-provider-liable-for.html
