here is what adsense says about traffic exchange programs (you define if blogrush is a "traffic exchange" program or not): http://adsense.blogspot.com/2007/04/note-on-traffic-exchange-programs.html
Well I would hope that G would give people using this new product a fair warning first, before just shutting down accounts. I just added this today myself and was looking forward to having a new gadget to play with.. I guess time will tell. Hopefully in the next day or two we can get a definite answer about this product.
i'm going to have to interject here and point out that IMHO BlogRush would not be considered a "traffic exchange" program any more than Adwords or YPn is - it's simply a way to display relevant links to other sites. Of course as usual, don't listen to what some dweeb on a forum says - if you are unsure, send an email to Adsense Support (then come back and tell us what the response was)..
I need help with "Feed URL" please. What is it and how do I find out what my Feed URL is for my blog? In the introduction video they state that if you don't know what a "Feed URL" is, you should click the "Help" link at the bottom. The Help link doesn't help at all. (Or I didn't see it.) And on the current topic being discussed... it's funny that they have a Help Video titled: "How to install Blog Rush on a Blogger (Blogspot.com) Blog" If it is against the TOS then a lot of people are going to be violating it.
Tearabite, I think your opinion sounds about right to me.. I personally see this more like having your favorite or some relevant links in the sidebar. Chad, I had the same issue when I signed up and was able to make my feed work by adding a rss to the end like this: blog/feed/rss Boulder
If you tell us what kind of blog you have, we might be able to help.. Back on-topic: FWIW, i sent an email to Adsense Support asking them for the official word.. As soon as I get a response i'll post it here.. no more guessing, opinions, prognosticating or crystal-ball reading necessary.
So for example: 2medschool.blogspot.com/feed/rss ? I'm not html savvy. Is there a specific code for "feed" and "rss" that I should already know?
I am interested to see how this is going to work out, but don't think it will be a problem with Adsense TOS - but then again, i am no expert on the topic.. lol
Your Feed URL is something like this: http://yourblog.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default More info on the Blogger help: What is a site feed? Topic - Site Feeds Hope this helps.
Excellent Tearabite, I will be looking back here for sure to see what you find out. And, I will giving a green rep to you for being the first one to stand up to the plate.. Thanks! Boulder
I think it will work. This is not a new idea. I run a video game fansite where another site has set up a similar system for related sites about that same video game. (Although, you don't get any credits for referrals.) From 43,000+ hits so far, I've gotten 235 clicks. 235 extra unique viewers works for me. I expect similar results from this + referral credits = sold.
I also am anxious to read what Google Adsense team says about blogrush. I'll keep watching these threads.
Agreed. From the TOS quote above: It does sound like Blog Rush might work. It's still organic traffic and there are still actual people behind each impression. Each person is still interested in related material and may be interested in relevant ads. I'll wait for the response that Tearabite gets.
Yeah..... once upon a time MyBlogLog was the next thing... we shall see... I added it to my Blog today... Here's some reading I dragged together; John Chow – Blog Rush does work Shoemoney – Get 45k impressions more on BlogRush ProBlogger – First Impressions Blog rush Pros and Cons-
