    Has anyone seen this?

I saw it on CNN, so looked up the youtube file...

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=vMllB-ELrTI

    Backstory:
A kid loses his cell phone at a friends house, so he waits in a parking lot for his friend to meet him there and give him back his phone...

This kind of abuse of power drives me crazy... I'm glad the officer is on "unpaid suspension"...

I was walking home about 11 Pm one night last summer (my car was broke down at the time) and a cop pulled up beside me and started yelling and hollering at me. He was very rude and even cussed while he was asking me why I was out walking.

For the most part cops are assholes with control/bully problems. People believe that the US is a 'free' country but the truth is that a cop can do just about anything they want to.

Not anymore, thanks to the youtube age :)

I know how you felt that night with the cop, I got yelled at once too... It was kind of my fault though, I was doing like 10-15mph over the limit, and he pulled me over then asked "Do you know why I pulled you over?", and I burst out laughing and said "Yes, I was going WAYYYY too fast"... My buddies in the car thought it was hysterical, but they didn't have to pay the $150+ ticket, haha...

I was walking by the side of the road and the cop cam toward me. He passed me up but screeched on the brakes and then did a u turn and when he started heading back toward me he was going very fast like it was some big emergency. He screeched to a stop in the middle of the road and yelled out his window "You! Over here now!"

I walked over to his car and then he yelled out "Get out of the middle of the g##damned road!" he pulled his cruiser on up and over to the side and I followed. Then he asked me why I was walking. I told him my car was broke down. Next he asked where I was going "home"

Another time my wife was walking with me in the middle of the day. We were going over to the WalMart. A cop stopped us and said that we had tried to commit suicide by walking out in front of his car! He accused us of being on drugs and yelled and hoolered at us. I kept trying to say that we never walked out in front of anyone but he was insistent and threatened to take us both to jail if I didnt shut up!

It was ridiculous and that cop obviously has some deep seated problems.

This cop asks us where we were going, of course, and when we told him he said that we didnt need to be going this way but should go a different way (he pointed) well the way he indicated was fine if you were driving but when walking the way we were going was much shorter. It is a free country right? This is a public road right? Arent we allowed to walk? Of course the cop said I was being a smart ass.

I dont live in a big city. In fact it is a very small rural area with a very low crime rate but the cops are still assholes.

Wow, what a scene. Cops have cameras inside their cars in case they ever need evidence to show in a court how events went down. This video is proof that the average citizen should have a camera in their car too. Do you think that the cop would have flipped out if he knew that he was being recorded and that his words could come back to get him in hot water? Of course not, but as soon as that cop saw the camera his tone totally changed..."Why do you have a camera in the car?"

Guess what cop: it's none of your business. Deal with it. Having a badge doesn't give you the rights to ask questions that are none of your business.

    1. If this is real, its very bad.
But this could have easily been faked.

    2. What the F**K is that clicking sound?

    3. The kid started things off bad by being an asshole, so the cop returned the favor and became a bigger asshole.

To be honest I couldnt even stand that clicking noise long enough to watch/listen to the whole thing.

I can understand how annoyed the kid was. I mean come on, a person cant park their car without being harassed by one of our wonderful public servants?

It was a dark and empty parking lot, if I was a cop it would look suspicious to me too.

Except if I was a cop, and the person clearly just drove past me and still parked there anyway, I wouldn't mess with him. If the kid had something to hide, he wouldn't have gone into a suspicious area while a cop was sitting there. Guess this cop didn't think that way.

    Damn, I'd make a good cop :D

That part made me smile... The cop thought he was tough, now he's "suspended"...

    1) I saw it on CNN a little while ago, they had an interview with the police chief from that area, and he didn't make any claim that it wasn't real...
    2) I don't know, but it annoyed the hell out of me too...
    3) I'd have no problem if the cop became a smart-ass too, but when he started threatening to create reasons to lock the kid up, that's when it went too far...

It was a radar detector. Certain brands make that clicking noise when they are switched on.
