    lol. very funny. possibly it was a staged scene or of a building that was due to be demolished. or quite possibly they have failed to realise there is a burning building behind them with possible occupants. ;)

    It's common to set buildings on fire if they are going to be demolished, so that the local firefighter crew can get hands-on experience in fighting the blaze.

    Nothing really hilarious....

    I'm a firefighter and yes, this is a training fire. After multiple live burn training exercises, the burned it to the ground.

    ...except for the other photo that you don't see of the family that owns that house screaming at the firefighters to pick up their hoses and save it. They are off to the right of the group photo. This one was taken just before the wife leapt on the nearest firefighter and started to beat him with a fire hose.
