Well, if you don't go to church, they can't take your money!
If they can't take your money, how can they fund the spreading of their religion?
    Which makes them more money.

    I don't believe in Gods/Superstition, and I don't go to church etc. :)

Jesus instructs his mob to "go into your room, close your door and pray to your Father in secret, and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you".

don't forget that these places of worship bring people together that share the same beliefs which certainly adds to some of the draw

No a church isn't just for praying. I am not talking about mosques or temples, just talking about church buildings. They are not "necessary" but are for meeting together, praying for each other, teaching the Word, etc... But a building is a building. The new Testament church is the people not a building, but it doesn't mean we can't use a building to meet.

Some Christians meet in homes, rented halls, etc.. because they know the building does not hold God.

I think religious places are more like places where you go and pay your respects.

but why build them when the same thing can be done from home, why not make a hospital or a school at that place or some center which is more helpful to people around.

u cant get surgery done at home now, nor the doctor can bring those huge x-ray and mri machines to home.
my point is the space which is available can be used for a better purpose.
