Are you serious? Wow you just lost any argument at all. For starters I am FAR from religious, my post had nothing to do with religion or 'right' and 'wrong' simple biology, Gays can not naturally have children. You speak of animal species being gay, that's all fine and dandy but WTF does that have to do with Gays having rights to have children? How does it account for the fact that being gay, being proud to be gay = the inability to have children? Where is this so called right to have children? They naturally CAN NOT have children, if they are so proud of who they are then they should be proud of it in all ways which includes not being able to have kids! Jesus, am I more for 'gay pride' then those who are gay? Ohyeah it's only used when it's convenient for what they want.
You raised good points duplicategrim, so i'll just kinda rehash 1 point; for instance animals may naturally have gay sex but how many gay animals have pups/kits babies etc & raise them? This is the aspect that is un-natural.
If the child is old enough, then yes, they should have some say as to where they go. Which means if they want to live with a gay couple, they should be able to - without the government or whoever jumping in to say 'no'. And for children that are too young to decide, then gay couples should have the same rights to adopt as straight couples - as long as they can provide for the child.
Why should they have the same right? Seriously why should they, convince me here why should someone who can not by their way of life have children be given the right to raise them? I also didn't realise the ability to have children was a 'right'...
Well, why SHOULDN'T they? Just because they love someone of the same sex? That makes them less capable of providing for a child? Can they give a child toys? Yes. Can they give a child food to eat? Yes. Can they give the child a home? Yes. Can they give a child love and support? Yes. They might have a different sexual preference, but they're still HUMANS. Just like the rest of us. They live in the same world we do, and need the same things we do. They can take care of another person just like anyone else can. The only difference is they have romantic relations with people of the same sex. Which is not really 'unnatural' - humans aren't the only creatures with homosexuals (I posted a link before that mentioned that several animal species showed signs of homosexuality). Are you going to go to one of those children and tell them straight to their face that they can't have a home because YOU don't want them to live with a gay couple? Are YOU going to adopt them all? Someone needs to adopt them. And living with a gay couple isn't going to 'ruin' them anymore than living in an orphanage will.
Yet you have no answer to the fact that they CAN NOT have children by themselves, naturally. Go on and on about having a romantic relationship with the same sex that isn't 'unnatural' but gloss over the fact that naturally they CAN NOT have children. Yeah, not real good at convincing... There are plenty of straight couples who want children, they want to adopt and are turned away.
You seem to have missed the point there mate. You became side-tracked originally by pointing out that homosexuals gave up their 'right' because they can't naturally have children. I was merely pointing out that despite they can't physically conceive children, that does not mean that they can't have (adopt) children. This was highlighted with my examples, such as: Technology and medicine (at our level) is un-natural, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen or isn't allowed. So hard to understand? Ly2: Saying that people who are so vigorously anti-gay such as yourself usually have some deep-rooted reason, is not actually an assumption mate. It's pretty common knowledge in fact. There is psychology behind it.
a child is given birth by mother, its already discussed before that a child would rather be happy to be orphan then live with 2 dads. would u urself like to live with 2 dads ? think about it think about the childs future, his friends would always make fun of him saying hey kid with couple of dads come here . would any kid like this ?
Nope you're trying to make a comparison where one does not exist. You can try all you want and be cocky as you want to, doesn't mean you are making any sense
So? There are plenty of straight couples that CAN NOT have children - does that mean they shouldn't be able to adopt? And this isn't about HAVING children, it's about ADOPTING children. The children are already born, they just need someone to love and take care of them.
You're talking about a health problem, are you saying gays being unable to have children is a 'health' problem?
It may not make sense to you sunshine, but that does not in any way whatsoever, discredit what I've said
That might be true that the children need to be loved. But you forget the other key to raising a child and all the stigmas and trash he/she will endure from classmates and others who think this is totally wrong. For which I am totally against also. a child should be raised by mother and father not father/father or mother/mother. Why in these days are we trying to be so against the traditional ways of doing basic functions of human life?
So a kid with two dads would get made fun of? And a kid living in an orphanage WOULDN'T? Fat people get made fun of, emo people get made fun of, short people get made fun of, tall people get made fun of. It doesn't matter - a child is going to be made fun of regardless of who their parents are. As for me - yeah, I would rather live with two dads than live in an orphanage. And why is is always about 2 dads? What about lesbians? Hell, I'm sure if you lived with two lesbians all the guys at school would think that is freakin awesome. And as I mentioned before - my friend lived with her gay uncles and she didn't get made fun of. Nobody cared.
Because they're not actually "basic functions of human life" mate. Do some research before making such bold claims.
I discredited pretty much everything you said 'sunshine' you keep coming back to what exactly? That physically they could have kids via adoption? Well so can other kids if we allowed it, hell we could allow anyone to, how does that make it a 'right' or a reason to. Come on sunshine, I did discredit your crap before, but yeah come back with more nonsense.
Yet you have no problem allowing those who can not give the 'basic functions of life' from the beginning. Wow nothing you say can trully be taken with any merit after this post. Seriously wow...
I still would like to know why so many gay rights activists like to compare homosexuality to being black.
