Stop thinking with your heart it won't get you anywhere. Think fact, think statistics. He scammed you long time ago and now he's back? 99% he's back to scam some more.

    Word!

Yes. Maybe. But if I'm not giving him any more money, then I am un-scam-able. If he wants to repair the friendship, then I have gained a friend. If he's just back to scam me again, he'll move on once he sees that I've learned my lesson and won't give him more money. I will have lost nothing, and I will know 100% (instead of that pesky 99%) that he was up to no good.

Alright think about it this way, friends are suppose to be there for each other.
There suppose to help each other out. What is the point of a friend if you can't trust him with some money?!:)

Hey friend got 10 bucks you don't need!? :p

I never lend money to anyone, especially friends. If I am going to give them money they need, its a gift with no expectation of return.

Make sure he returns every penny, and then, only then, think about, your heart will know what to do.

The Problem is, there no place for someone like that in my heart.
I have to know the real reason why he scammed me, that is more important then getting the money back.

Bah, it's the worst thing ever when you get scammed twice by the same person. It happened to me once, the guy scammed me, then like 3-4 weeks later he comes back with a new address, saying that someone had hacked into his account and that they needed $5 from me to reactivate the server.

    WHAT AN IDIOT I WAS!!!

Never trust a scammer, Full stop.

You are the only person who is able to decide !!!!!

My advice is to hear what are his reasons ... Ask about everything !

Investigate everything said , and if he convinced you , why not resuming ;)

You should give other chances !!!

Yes, scammer will always be a scammer. :)

He said he will pay in monthly payments, that is what scares me. He will try to pull of something then.

Yes that's what I'm going to do, I just want to know the real truth of why he scammed me.

There's a saying that goes "once a thief, always a thief". I'm not sure why he took your money and perhaps he had his reasons but the fact is he abused your trust and trust is not something you can just hand out.

What feeling do you get about them? Are they genuinely sorry or are they just trying to scam you again? Personally I'd steer clear but then again I'm not a very trusting person.

If you feel fine talking to him, go ahead and let him pay you back. If you are not comfortable around him forget him. But at least meet him.

Really depends how close I was to my friend. If he has been my friend offline for a couple of years, then I would give him another chance without a single thought.

If it is only a small amount I might forgive him/her. But if it is a big amount then there is no way i'll forgive them.

Maybe he is just waiting for that big amount before the final disappearing act.

I will never give a cheater a second chance.

Maybe he has his own reason for not paying you. It's ok to continue your friendship but never loan him anything anymore.
