    If ur single

    1. China- You can get women way above ur grade level, so if ur ugly and white/latin/other then Chinese, then this is the place for you. just dont open ur mouth about politics.

    2. Thailand- for obvious reasons(watch out for girly men)

    3. Brazil- Don't live in a major city and u might make it past ur first year.

    If ur married with kids

    1. Czech Republic- Cost of living is really low in comparison to Europe. Pretty close to most places in Europe.

    2. Spain- great atmosphere, good if you have kids.. UK schools. bad part Taxes, Taxes, Taxes.

    3. Argentina- haven't been there but hear great things. 95 percent of all real estate purchased in cash.

    4. Australia- very friendly people. too far from everything else

My opinion of some other choices mentioned here:

Panama- best place to hide money. Real estate jump up 300 to 500 percent
Canada- Vancouver is nice, but taxes way to high
Belize- Nice beaches. Neg part is, its expensive
Costa Rica- many nice places to live. Crime is getting a little high and expensive.
Dominican Rep- Great deals on real estate but too much poverty=crime
Haven't been there but got the info from people that been there.

Hoping to relocate from US in 3 to 5 years. Its much harder to find a place when u have 4 kids.

Hey Will, how about Lativa.. I have some really good friends that live there, most of which are, well, Lativian, but one of them is from Tennessee originally. I hear it is small, nice and most people speak English.. Not sure on the economics of it, but my pals do alright!

The only country i would consider is Australia, it seems to have some of the US best qualities, like wide open spaces. And they speak English.

I am planning to move to Sweden after I graduate from high school in the end of this year. Very democratic and not so fascist. Population is low. Don't know about taxes yet but I know the country in general is expensive. I've found it very peaceful every time I had a visit.

Sweden's government is pretty deep into national socialism. There are bureaucracies and rules for everything. It makes doing business there very difficult.

Worse, as Bogart pointed out, the whole government contraption is paid for by taking most of what the honest Swede's earn.

Sweden is also experiencing severe problems with violence (especially rape) involving their immigrant community.

It has often been summed up with this quote:
The worst, however, is that there is no right to freedom of speech in Sweden. For example, a pastor was sentenced to a month in jail for preaching against homosexuality. He was eventually acquitted, but the whole event had a chilling effect on freedom in the entire country.

Hell, you can get two years in jail in Sweden for mentioning someone on your blog without their consent.

Sweden is really an ODD country.

As web-earners, we should all be moving to low-cost countries with territorial tax systems. :)

Nicaragua--spent the summer there and loved it. One of the cheapest countries in the Americas. Relatively low violent crime for Latin America, particularly outside Managua. Basically, a less touristy, less expensive, though unfortunately less developed, counterpart to Costa Rica. One big problem currently is that since June 2007 they've had these daily rolling blackouts (the wonders of privatization), but that should be resolved by 2008.

Americans should stay out of Nicaragua. Eric Volz an American was unjustly convicted in Nicaragua by anti-americans and is now rotting in prison with a life setence. The same can happen to you.

Eric Volz's defense presented overwhelming evidence that he was innocent.

During the Court's preliminary sentence on February 16, 2007, the Court barred US Embassy personnel who had traveled the two hours from Managua from the courtroom.

More facts can be found on the Friends of Eric Volz website http://www.friendsofericvolz.com/

Well I been to Nica and really, I saw so much crap, I never did before. Managua is horrible. I got my passport stolen and had to go there to the embassy in order to get them to let me out.
