I don't think he will be able to do that. Actually he won't be able to use adsense on that site ever.

Yes I have heard Google can be pretty leniant with people as long as you contact them, and tell them that basically you are sorry and that you wasn't aware - and that the problem has been fixed.

But...if you adverts where next to images, this might of been one of the reasons why your AdSense income was so high, so if they do accept and you have changed the way your adverts have been placed, you may notice a sudden decrease in income. But I suppose this is better than having the website banned altogether.

Good luck and please keep us all updated on how you get this resolved. Thanks.

    Good job contacting them.

Great move. Also, there are loads of companies like adsense on the web, and they'd kill for a high traffic site like yours. Check them out, see if you can get your own custom offer (like adsense premium).

I think they will give you your account back, if you think about it they will probably want you back because you would of been earning them a lot of money too. Just send them an e-mail saying you have rectified the problem.

This is the most worrisome statement I've read in this thread... If drop in search engine position was related to the ban...

I think it was a google dance.. I had my top position back again, so I have to wait for google's response.

I have been a member of this forum for a long time but didn't participate much (I was busy with my sites). Now I see how helpful and supportive people here. Thank you guys, I will share and discuss more in the forum from now on.
