OK I've redesigned AGAIN - please comment

This is about the 5th design in the last week after evaluating everyone's comments. Of course, i couldn't please everyone. I had to keep the site 'happy' for the myspace users so please comment again.

Much better backgroun... but it loads sooooooooo slow! I don't like the corner effect... i think that if you take this out... it would be better... hope that helps abit

Very good. If you have a new site (or if you want to generate return traffic) you might want to try and keep items like pop-ups or the corner feature down to a bare minimum. But the design is great. I like the notebook like features.

 

The speed is okay for me.

Kind of slow. Too much adware. When I go to a website I don't want to be bombarded with pop-ups and other junk. Hope this helps!

 

Looks way too spammy, I stayed there about 5 seconds.

Improve the design, and you will get more people clicking ads, downloading stuff e.t.c

I definately do not like pop-ups at all. the corer thing was also fairly annoying and the site seems to be to cluttered.

Too many colors that do not blend well coupled with the excessive ad placements are a distractor to me. Especially when your site's banner is not there and has been replaced with AdSense

I would get rid of the AdSense and put a nice banner in there that is only for the site and not a form of advertisement, and also get rid of the browns and greens.. I have a 3 month old at home, and... well... you know what those colors remind me of

The site is great, but needs to be spread out more, as well as you need to draw attention down the page some more.

This feels like the bottom of the page, but it is still in the upper half of the page.

I'll be honest with you. It looks very amateurish indeed.

It is a mishmash of sickly colours, different font faces and a bunch of ugly advertisements. I think you should use your time more wisely and hire a designer.

You seem to be creating the site around your ads. Perhaps you should do it the other way and design the website so that it is both functional and easy to use? If you want this site to be successful you should definitely rethink your plan of action.

 

are you referring to the entire site or just the home page?

 

this WAS designed by professionals for myspace users and looking at other myspace sites, it looks like it's 200% better than most.. have you looked at other myspace sites?? or please give some more specifics besides 'sickly colours, different font faces and a bunch of ugly advertisements' - that only sounds angry and .....

man, you going to be soon bann, if you dont remove the pop exit adsense ads :O ! i think its against the adsense policy.. but great idea so far... and yeah by MFA point its really good one site but its look spammy though.

 

thanks.. but the colors are web 2.0 colors that are specially designed to go with each other and tested on other sites to perform well. also, i couldn't find browns anywhere on the home page - could you please tell me where you see them?

also, our 'banner' is on the left side at the top of the page. our marketing team says that a larger banner is just a waste of bandwidth and the ad that replaces it brings in a good amount of income..

also, you mention 'spread out more'.. what do you mean by that? most myspace sites user a very similar 'template' that mysapce users are very accustomed to..

thanks everyone for the comments.. i'm sure by reading all of them, you see that you can never please everyone.. the biggest reply comment i have to make is whether or not anyone who commented has visited other myspace resource sites.. because they are a different breed.. sites that are non-professional looking and bright and ugly thend to do very very well.. sites that are professional and business like, such as some of our other sites - welovepool.com, mustangtraderonline.com, highlandrags.com and niagarapokersupply.com.. so please keep that in mind when if you reply with comments..

i especially like to hear the comments about the design and SPEED. i'm worried the site mmight be too slow to load..

He has a point. You may want to work on that. Once google bans you, theres no way of coming back

thanks.. i did not know that about adsense.. do they have anything against 'hover ads' - the ad that floats down the right side of my pages?

 

the popup and the main ad in the center of the page will get you banned from adsense - I couldn't tell what was content and what was an ad..... waaaaay tooooo slooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow on the load as well and I have 10mb downstream.... so I know its not on my end....

 

i know this point is already talked about, but im really not happy with those colors, their combination is not right, i would rather use limited colors and more of white here.
