    Hi. Earlier in the month my blog was added to technorati. I was wondering, how long does it take to get an authority rating? :)

    Get backlinks. More links = more Authority.

    I think, once there is a site linking to you with authority that is also indexed by technorati, you will get one soon

    I currently have a few sites that links to me, and get quite a few visitors daily. Maybe it takes about a month or something?

    I setup an auto-ping service. Maybe that will help? :)


    EDIT: I did a "ping" earlier and just checked the info now. MY authority is now an amazing 4. lol. So yes, it seems that did the trick. Thanks for all help :)

    I believe Technorati pings automatically every 30 minutes. I'm pretty pleased that another of mine has just dropped below the 20k mark.

    so u have a authority 4 now and it would increase with increase in reactions from diff. domains...

    signup a account and claim your blog....

    now i have 60+ reactions but no authority till now...

    Update: Now i pinged technorati by visiting it and then
    Authority 26 (good for 7 days old blog)
    Rank: 240000

    I was using pingoat which does not work many times. So i saw above results when i manually visited technorati and clicked ping button. So when you see it has not updated posts authority ping it.

    I am new blogger and my blog is just a 4 months old.

    I think i am lucky, because i have 34 blog reactions and 27 blog authority.

    My rank in Alexa is now just 236,176 (which is very good).

    As for pinging technorati, there is a ping service you can add to your wordpress where it will do it automatically each time you post - check their site for details :)
