Hi fellow SeO guys/gals, I just want to see if anyone would be interested in a little project. Okey, What if 5 to 10 SEO personals would make a directory together?? Even more, This is just the Idea. We would have this is an ad revenue sharing directory, using adsense. Our ads would show randomly and we would get the same amount of impressions. We could make this paid directory but I think free would be a good place to start. Just think if 10 alright SEO personals would gather up and do this. everyone would have the directory in there signature link, maybe a avatar too. We would all start to gather free backlinks, make articles........ and so on. I would want this to cost ZERO. We would all give something to the directory. For example I have a domain name webgut.com and it's a PR4 - I think it would fit a directory well. I own an ad revenue sharing script so that's out of the way! I'm going to stop now and see what you guys/gals have to say! Best regards,
The hosting would be the main cost. Then you would have to make terms on how and when people would get paid for listings.
Paypal rotation could happen the exact same way as the adsense ads. A monthly reconciliation could be done to verify that all paypal payments are equal. Also, the adsense stuff would be equal impressions but not equal payments as all will have different number of clicks and a different cpc
Thanks for your response, I know people won't get as many clicks but they'll at least get the same amount of impressions. I'm not talking about this like it should be the next Dmoz I just thing this would be good for making good connections and of course see how powerful one group can be. I'm not talking about you should spent all your time promoting this directory, I see this more like a hobby, something to do when you are frozen. Do you know if it's possible to rotated paypal e-mails? So if we are 10 total we would have 10 paypal emails rotating 1 to 10 on who get's the submission profit. This is just one idea! Why not? 10 people for 1 site is a ton of hands and promotional skills. I say combine wikipedia and dmoz and you will have a winning combination for people wanting to slip their links in place ... ofc, I guess it would end up being like ErectADirectory. Hey, why not just promote it? Sure it's technically possible, in it's basic form paypal payments are just a button (link).
Its a great ideea to have 10 hands for work and skills. But is a very bad ideea to have 10 pockets to share the money
It really depends on the specifics of the project and how much money will be spread around. I'd rather have 10% of 1 million than 100% of $500.
You guess my mind. But i am a little suspicious about that million $ will appear soon. And about associations between unknown persons. Anyway, what we need to do if we join to "the party"?
