The Site: Penlinux.com is an online only store I started back in May of this year. It's only focus was to sell usb drives with Linux pre-installed. Much like this, but with Ubuntu and cheaper.

I started the site with 80 usb drives and knew I would not continue the site once I sold those 80 drives. They sold anywhere from $30-50, depending on the size and brand of drive. In just over 60 days I sold them all. I didn't keep great records, but I made about $2500 all together, I believe.

Stats: At one point the site was getting around 90 visitors a day. Since then it has dropped to about 20-60 visitors a day. Mainly because I sold all of the drives and the site reads "SOLD OUT" now.

I have never sold advertising spots, used Adsense, etc... on the site, so I honestly don't know how much it would make. Most of the hits come from users searching google for "pen linux, usb linux, put linux on drive key, etc".

What you get: You are buying everything. The site, domain, instructional video, and all content. The domain is with GoDaddy and the site is currently being hosted on a subdomain, since I had no reason to pay for hosting after I sold all the drives.

Some ideas for the site once you buy it: Do what I was doing. Find yourself a source of cheap usb drives (newegg has them as cheap as $14 for 2 gigs right now)... Turn the site into a tutorial/instructional site.... Ad Adsense and monetize it... Release a new Linux distro.... there really are a lot of things that you can do with it. If you decide to continue selling drives, the instructions on how to create them are on the site and very easy to follow.

Since this isn't the type of site you normally see on DP, I'm going to just start out saying I want $450 for it. I honestly think it is worth more than that and has the potential to be a big money-maker... So yeah, ask any questions you may have here so others can see the answers...

That page is not linked to from any other part of the site. It was created to drive Google traffic for people looking HOW to create the pen drives. I didn't make it accessible to the average visitor because I wanted them to purchase the drive from me, not make one themselves. However, if someone was already looking for instructions on how to make one, I figured I would try to catch those users as well. I hope that made sense.
