domain name question for google ranks

say you had a fansite and you could get the .net of the persons name. Would that be better than having the persons name such as NAMEfansite.COM? or does it not really matter


EDIT**- or the Firstname-lastname.com? which is the best choice?

I think the .net helps you with type in traffic and the other option ...fans.com ranks a bit better for celeb fan keyword. I never had so much luck to register celebname.net domain so go for it!

firstnamelastname.net. you want to try and only use the keywords that people would use to find that site. for example i wouldnt type queen fan site into google, id type queen. so something ideal for you would be queen.net (if it was about queen)
