It's getting a lot of hype right now, but that wont last. Not worth it.

Shoemoney wrote about this, this week. He bought "free ringtones" and has almost made his money back. I wasn't going to do anything with it until I saw his post...

I wouldn't count on the traffic lasting forever or anything, but for the time being it seems to be paying off for some. Like rgremill mentions, Shoemoney seems to have just about made his money back and I've heard similar from others.

the only reason why is because he is Shoemoney, not because that site is worth anything

    Ok get this.

I purchased the term payday_loans and waited 30 hours... no account set up. I then look on shoemoney's comments and someone purchased the next day after me.

I complained to the guy who owns the site and he ignored my email, sent me a refund and that was that. I made the mistake of ordering when he got 150 orders in 1 day and so my order was overlooked. I have since sent him 7 emails complaining that I should be able to purchase it since I ordered first (verified by paypal receipt) but he is just ignoring my emails. Bad service.

The more I look at those pages, the more spam crap they look like. Most of the pages I have seen just redirect to an AFF offer. Im sure Google will love that.

I suppose it was more of a blessing than a curse right? Take a look at the pages...

I just heard about it from Shoemoney's page too. It seems like a good idea but how would anyone know about your page if it wasn't promoted because the milliondollarwiki keywords doesn't land on the first page of google.

    Nobody will.

And I'm assuming that after looking through the total garbage that people are putting on their pages, it wont last long.

Maybe I'm just bias after getting screwed by them.

it was the same as pixel advertising and wordcloud scripts. all hype at the beginging then dies down to nothing. not worth the effort if you ask me.

It's mostly crap and it's built on hype.

That said, I bought a page as an experiment. I'm just hoping that the buzz sticks around long enough for me to get my money back :)

I think it will work after all.
And even if you don't make a lot of money out of this, you will at least get your invested money back.
It should be fairly easy to generate $100 from all this buzz.

I think it was john chow who blogged this and started this hype, then after shoemoney took notice and bought a page then john chow wrote another article about it.

It's worth it if you can buy a good keyword, like shoemoney did for the ringtones thingy. Otherwise i wouldn't think of buying any space there.
