If you could be the leader of any country, what country would you choose? What is the first thing you would do as the leader? As part of the game you can only choose one country and must choose the ONE thing highest on your priority list.
I would never want to lead a country, no matter what you do, to some it will be the wrong thing, that's a responsibility I would never want to shoulder.
You have a good point there, but for the fun of it: I would choose my own country of course, the US. The highest thing on my priority list would be to change the foreign policy. I think the traditional conservative view of foreign policy (non-interventionist) that our founding founders laid out for us is really the best one for this nation.
I'd go with the US. Highest priority to strengthen foreign policy. To make it clear to the world that when the US gives it's word, it doesn't turn it's tail and run like cowards when times get tough. That we are not France. That the meaning of allies is more than symbolic and that surrender is not part of our Constitution.

Yes very true , no matter how much we wish to change things , having to go through all the motions to get to that point and being responsible for all the outcomes is way to much to bare... If I had to choose I'd keep my alliance with my own country Australia... and would change things in Health, Immigration and Education at present.
kill all the infidels? wipe off israel from the map? catch up the economic... will be my first priority... china will be my example free education, free hospitals second... military third...
I would choose to be the leader of Israel. I would abolish it as a jewish state and turn it into a non-racial, non-racist, non-apartheid and equal opportunity state where all jews, christians and muslims who live there can participate to the government and be equal citizens. I would allow palestinians who were driven out of their home by ethnic cleansing to return and participate in the new state. I would abolish the law of return, that racist law that allows any person who has already a country but claims to be jewish to be automatically a citizen of Israel, even though that person has no connection to the land. I would make peace with all my neighbors and ask that they forgive our past military aggressions against them.
I'd go with Iran. I would ruin it as a functioning country, to the point where it doesn't pose a threat to anyone or anything. Before i do that, i would attack Syria, give weapons and money to Israel, and shell out some more money to the war in Iraq. My regime will solve quite a crap load of problems
