I have attached a form for those interested in joining the committee. Please fill it out, and PM me with the file.
We can't PM you with the file. You are going to have to give us an email address (via PM) that we can send it to. I don't want to post it here for EVERYONE to have this information. DAVE
Well, I have to give you credit for one thing at least - you're not just talk like so many at DigitalPoint.
Website is up: http://IWDAA.org The website is not 100% finished, but it will give you an idea of the site.
Just a word of advice (Honest, not trying to bring down your idea or anything), If you want idea taken seriously, I suggest someone designing a more professional site. I know it's not finished, but it needs a lot of work to be taken seriously by people looking for accredited directories. Just my 2cents.
I toyed with this idea, but I think this is the best choice. I don't think flashy glossy banners are fitting for the site. Check http://iana.org http://web.archive.org/web/20060116032828/http://www.icann.org/ and http://google.com I think these types of designs can be the most effective sometimes. Although I am open to change if everyone thinks differently.
I agree minstrel. This one http://www.directory-owners-association.com/ has been under construction for a month or so. Maybe they are working on it behind the covers. tom
I doubt it. I think they're still figuring out what they want to do. That could go on for months. Committee think is usually the worst way to develop anything. One of my favorite quotes: "A committee is a cul-de-sac down which ideas are lured and then quietly strangled." ~ Sir Barnett Cocks (1907 - 1989)
I dunno...I have an email address of the fella that was sending out committee solicitations a while back. He can probably tell you. PM me if you want it and I'll pass it along. tom
I notice that you feature Alive in your forum signature. Is this the sort of directory you consider to be quality directory? Is this the sort of directory thats going to crack the nod? Didnt they just get caught with their fingers in the cookie jar?
I tried to get to the site but it was blocked on my network as 'anonymizers' - was it an old domain, like the kind that used to be a proxy?
I'm pleased to see this idea progressing Could you maybe split the right hand side of the front page into paragraphs so us old folk can read it? Cheers and good luck with the battles ahead!
