I am thinking more about the dishwasher idea. Only problem is that I'll have to turn the hot water off! I can shut the HW off @ the sink of course but then it would be a dry cycle...that can't be good!

and here's something I learned. they tell you IMPORTANT: run all the cold water until you get hot before you start a cycle! IDNKT!

It will definately be cool if you can get it to work... Better buy insurance on your camera first, just in case. Maybe insurance for the dishwasher too... :p

too bad there isn't a lightning storm near you. that'd be cool for a super long exposure picture.

Could you do something like lightning storms or fireworks for TLV also, or is it too fast to even show up?

I got banned by digg. :(

we haven't had many this year! which is odd. not like AZ though where you can see them coming. west TX would be great for that too. my backyard blows b/c of my neighborhood...I need to find a nice safe place and then yeah, it would be good but not really for TLV

i tried looking for long exposure lightning pics and I could only find single bolt images. I'm thinking of a 30 minutes exposure with lots of lightning in it.

if you were to expose it for that long (in an active storm) then the image would be completely blown out (all white).

you'd either need a hellacious storm that has multiples or maybe you could even use multiple layers, combine several images.

The whole picture is crooked. I'm assuming it's intentional... :p
