    submission in my paid directories have been massively reduced. Just got 1 in last 5 days....getting lots of SPAM though (ppl are submitting without paying) :(
    And yes, fully agree with Mikey. submission in my free directories are increasing day by day.........

    Number of submission to one my directory has increased slightly. Other one is more less same. Both of them is paid directory.

    But Featured submission have increased compared to regular...;)

    Thank you Malcolm! I appreciate the kind words.

    Shortly after my post I thought about the new design and the positive effect that may have had on submissions. BigGuide was redesigned by Smub, owner of IDK and the look is totally new and I think improved. Perhaps the conversion rate improved due to the better first impression?

    Smub has also been sending some traffic via his Webmaster Blog.

    Back to the topic at hand... I'm planning on building traffic to specific categories to build the value of the listings once I know what changes Google rolls out in the coming PR update, if any. Surviving will require more than a link I think.

    Best to forget about PR and quick bucks. If you are not prepared to work honestly in this industry its time to get out. There are not going to be so many directory masters recklessly promoting their sites and we are going to have to rely on the genuine buyers who are certainly not stupid.

    Rates should level out and submitters will be looking for long term value.
