Glad we got the name out in the open. Other than communication and taking ages to reply, i had no problems with him. You can see my site has been designed well with no problems. I really think there is something wrong with his personal life, but he shoul've produced some work for all these people who payed 50% up front...

This guy if it is him, is around 20 years of age, I believe that we have all made mistakes, and most of us will continue to make mistakes

There might be a genuine reason, he could be sick, or having some business difficulties, we don't know but wait before the

    Habitual DP Slaughter commences

I have lost 100's of dollars so far and I want this sorted out as I want my money back, but if the slaughter starts I guess we can all wave goodbye to our money.

A little bit of advice from an 'old hand' if you decide to slaughter him your own house better be in order too if you are going to pour vitriol on this thread

What is needed right now is some calm and patience and lets trust it can all be sorted out very quickly

People who are not involved keep out of this thread please, so the people who have outstanding monies and work to complete are given a fair chance to get it all sorted out professionally without incurring more losses

Thanks for your kind consideration :)

Thanks Zeb ,likewise I hope he is ok, and for the folks reading this thread, this is guaranteed he will work with us again that if this is sorted out, which I trust it will be very quckly.

One thing is for sure the guy is very talented so we will hope that he will be doing some more work for us (when this lot is sorted out), as we have more than enough work for both him and Marko to keep them both busy
    :)

Serg has done quite a bit of work for me and this pattern sounds familiar, but worse than I've experienced. He recently finished work on my blog on September 3rd. I would say wait a little longer and do not crucify him yet.

That's a hard thing to ask when he's been on the hotseat for months now with major clients whom he didn't complete work, took deposits and never refunded, or simply didn't do the work asked at the end.

Now, it seems, there is hundreds of dollars (Possibly $1,000+) out there in his possession with no work completed, which is a heavy cost.

This isn't a simple matter over $10 or a submission, it's a lot of money invested and not returned or given work asked.

Call your credit card co. and ask them to chargeback the amount for non-receipt. Let them know you've attempted to contact the seller with no response.

Your credit card issuer will deal with PayPal I believe.

I would be more than glad to wait if I have the time but not everybody has that and I have given more than enough time for him to catch up with me.

This project is important to me and my partners. It's definitely an issue if we do not know how long we have to wait. 1 week..1 month or 3 months or never?

I would rather pay more to someone who can complete my project on time or at least inform me if there is a delay. Not to the extend of ignoring the client.

I wish you good luck if you are those who wish to continue waiting and are not urgent with your projects. If this designer ever contact you again, please kindly help me to ask him to give me a refund.

Meanwhile, I will file a claim on paypal before escalating it to credit card chargeback if it's not resolved after 1-2 weeks.

From my point of view, while doing any project, delay can happen for many unexpected reasons, But the best procedure is to keep in touch with the clients, let him know the real situations, problems, And ask clients earnestly that whether he/she wants refunds!

    Communication is always the key

Sad to hear that so many are actually having issues with the same designer.
I hope all of you get your refund and hope you find a better designer.

I just wanted to see if anyone else had filled a PayPal claim and had any luck. Unfortunately PayPal ruled against my claim. I just called PayPal and was told since this was not a "tangible" good and that something like a website or web site design is not such that there was nothing they could do.

Oh well, live and learn I guess.
