Well, I have done this before for a 3d company I own, but it never panned out really. But I will be having Tshirt for my forum soon. But I am going to have a design contests first and the winner will receive the Tshirt free and 100.00! And I will give free Tshirt to the runner ups!
Iam looking for someone who could help me out in printing these kind of tshirts , as i need them for my staff and freebies.
Can only see it working with few 'popular' types of websites. Anything like DigitalPoint.com doesn't say anything to people walking past, not to mention how untargetted it is. So the tshirt would need to contain more details than just a URL, and would need to hold some kind of general appeal to most people. Unless you wear it to like a convention based around your site.
Forget the tshirts, the poker alone makes you a nerd Have a look for online screen printers, some of them offer really good deals.
Sign me up! I'll take a free t-shirt anyday! (Wait a minute, what's the project? ) I have a few .com t-shirts. People always stop and ask me about the website. So just walking past, no it doesn't say anything to people. But it does start conversations, and gives you a chance to "sell" the site. Take a look at cafepress.com. You design the shirts and they make them. Anyone can order your shirt through cafepress and then shipping fees are their problem, not yours.
The quality of the print work really isnt that great. I ordered some a while back and wasnt happy with the result. Its not really ink printing its like a iron on almost.
LOL I bet you wouldn't be saying that if you were one of the old men sitting across from me at the poker table on one of the days that I wear one of my cute lil tank tops
Actually, T-shirt idea may work if you are distributing free t-shirts through your site. People love free stuff.
I wouldn't wear one, I have several "tech" shirts such as nVidia and Intel, I don't wear any of them in public.
I have done it but I find they are better to give away as a prize on your site and promote this on news releases.
yeah i have heard of it but i really dont think it will yeald many results. unless you have a VERY memorable name then i dont see the point of it.
giving T-shirt with url on it always a good idea. but only if your site are open for public not for specific visitors. for webmaster site, normally webmaster visitors will just stay working at home so it's a bit useless to give them the T-shirt anyway. XD
