Are you sick of creating amazing & financially successful sites for other people, only to see their wallets get fat while they pay you with beans and peanuts ... then complain about your costs? You ARE worth more than that! This project is your opportunity to be “in the right place at the right time” and be residually rewarded for your work.

What we are doing: Using Facebook as a traffic catalyst and business model, our “product” will appeal to 100+ million people in the USA but will end up being a global community potentially servicing billions worldwide. The goal here is to create a true virtual community that exists beyond the internet.

Who are we looking for: 3 relatively savvy php developers and a (social) marketing expert. The developers will each be responsible for a “section” of this site which should take 10-40 hours depending on your skill level. All plans have been well thought out, right down to page names and the tables in the database; by programmer #4 of this team (that’s me).

The marketer should have a great understanding (and past success) of getting the word out through all avenues, including, internet, TV, and radio.

How will the site produce income? Membership dues, affiliate marketing, direct advertisers, adsense and possibly a few other ways. Here’s the (rough) math >> ~150 million user market * multiple page views for each user = plenty of cash to go around

How will I make money off of the site? Each developer and marketer who chooses to donate their time to this project will be given 13% of the revenue generated by the site and 5% ownership in case of a buyout (which is the goal). This will be strictly documented in each contributor’s contract.

    Job Requirements:
    1. PayPal verified
    2. Adsense account.
    3. All developers will have a 10 day turnaround time. We are ready to hit the ground running, and success relies on smooth market entry and rapid expansion.
    4. Great English

Selected applicants will be given more specific details about the project after being chosen. At this point you can still opt out of the project.

By the way: The organizers of this project have MANY projects to follow this one, each with its own uniqueness and profit potential. Jump on board now, do great work, and be continually rewarded!

Might be interested. I reckon I'm pretty good with PHP, but no idea if that's good enough. The site I'm working on at the moment is www.coffeesh0p.com - Take a look and see what you think.

Don't see why anyone with a great skill level is really going to pay you much heed with that type of description. It sounds like one of those cheesy commercials, and if you're planning on using Facebook for this, you're violating some TOS if I'm not mistaken. If you want to give me actual details feel free to, but if you're already a PHP coder, I'm not seeing why you need other people to help you out, I sit and spend a week and do huge sites no problem, why not just this yourself or hire someone? You can't make money if you don't spend money, and being promised "ownership" and "profitshare" don't pay the bills when you're spending the time developing that instead of working for clients who pay up front =/

If you ask me it's a great opportunity to get both income and recognition. I don't think it is against the TOS for facebook seeing as it is an open platform that has been opened to developers...but I could be wrong ;)

From the description I don't see anything which to my knowledge violates the facebook TOS. The description is too short/hypey to know exactly what the goal is though.

Apart from that I agree completely. If the pages needed and the database schema have been established I'd say most of the work has already been done.

Projectshifter, have you had a chance to look at the developers api or FB's TOS yet? They've got a great thing happening @ FB because they allow developers to create programs that takes advantage of their social networking. All it does is help us spread the word so the site gets very popular very fast. BTW: MySpace is developing something similar (although not currently released).

I'll pass on giving you the details as it doesn't sound as if you are interested. My life is full and if I've got enough opportunities behind this one that I'd just be better off getting some people on board. I can do it, but not nearly as quickly as if I have help. Besides, I'm not selfish and refuse to be that person who pays good developers in beans and peanuts.

You are correct, I'm not trying to pay your water bill this month. Ownership & profit sharing are what makes you retire. I want people who are happy to code and are working for their future, not the here and now.

In my opinion this is what inspires greatness, not the fear of creditors. Developers can still have their clients and pay their bills, I'm only asking for a little time invested, that's all.

In case you are interested, anything I'm asking developers to do I could accomplish in quick fashion. My part of the coding is about 4x as much as I'm requesting help on.

9 tables and 6 sections (~40 pages) and XX,000 lines of code ... I don't think I'm anywhere near most of the work being done :] I've got a great development battle plan and an awesome marketing plan, now I just need some people who want to help themselves.

Thanks for all the PM's, I have responded to most and will have this invitation open for the rest of the week.

    Best to everyone

Well that sounds like ME. But I am also sure not many marketers browse the php section. In polite manner I'll suggest that you should also post this in the general buisness or general marketing section of the forum to get them involved.;)
