How to verify the Google Sitemap account?

    Hello friends,
    I have 1 google sitemap account.But I cant verify my site with it.How can I verify that?
    Please help me.

    they give you a file to upload in your website... when you create a sitemap account to verify... or they give you code which you could place in your website... Just look in the sitemap account and you would know...

    there is one more option - they'll ask you to upload an html file with a particular name. there is more help in the webmasters central account itself. spend more time reading it. you'll find it yourself.

    Do you go to verify section and follow the step
    there are 2 way copy code and paste it below the <Head> in your HTML code
    or you can upload find to your host

    you have two ways

    * uploading a html file which will be provided by google
    * adding meta tag in your <head></head>

    Just make a blank page and give it the same name that Google tells you. Upload it to your site. If you use gsitecrawler, it can do this for you.

    It easy you have to upload some file to ****.html to your root directory so that google can be sure that the domain is really yours !

    yes you do ;)

    no matter what you use to make your sitemap, you'll have to verifly your account otherwise anyone could say they own the site and could find the stats. :rolleyes:

    I have created a sitemap in xml format through a sitemap generator website and I have included some script towards the top of my website. As I am not very knowledgable about web design, can someone have a look at my website index page (www dot sharpmagic dot co dot uk) and tell me if it is all ok by looking at the source code. That would be really appreciated.
