Exactly the same here, for one of my sites who is the top search on Google for lucrative niche market. Used to have 2 or 3% CTR and now I have 0,1 or 0,0 !!! The drop started on July. I don't have many repeat visitors, so how come I have 10.000 views in a day and ZERO clicks!!! Something is VERY wrong were. I think they want to pocket some nice money before the crash! Anyway, cj has an ebay affiliate. Move on. Forget about this crap.
Can anyone guide me as to how or which links i have to use at the CJ/Ebay program? Is it keyword link? Do they also have a 30-day cookie?
Just signed up for 4 ebay accounts(AU, CDN, UK, US) on CJ and threw the code on my site. I just lost trust in their stat reports with such a huge swing in CTR and conversions since August. Too bad, I really liked their program and thought it had huge potential. Not sure if I'll be able to make up the difference being payed at a lower tier...we'll see. Auctionads was easy to use and the geo targetting a huge bonus. I do hope they get things corrected as it was one of the better programs I've seen launched.(Pre August)
i had the CJ/Ebay ads running yesterday. Out of three ads, two ALWAYS where untargetted. At least AA doesnt have that problem anymore. I also hate CJ and the ebay ads are way uglier. I decided to leave up AA from now on. I never experienced such a big loss in revenue as many here, so in my case switching to CJ makes no sense. I rather have relevant ads that convert low, than untargetted ones that convert even less of course. No idea why everybody is hyping the CJ program so much now.
I agree I'm not sure whats up with all the hype, I did however apply for the CJ program to see if it can out perform my AuctionAds. Right now I'm making a very nice $XXX.xx each month from AA so it'll be interested to see if CJ can out perform that.
At least for me, when i say change to CJ/ebay it's not to use the ebay ads from the editor kit. You need to know a little of php programming, and you can make your own ads very easily. I have that and they're 100% targeted.
Wow, AuctionAds is going to lose lots of customers unless they react to these issues quickly. My sites have not been performing well and I am contemplating pulling it all together too.
It's sold, not selled Though, I'm not one to complain...have you seen my spelling? http://www.techcrunch.com/2007/08/09/mediawhiz-latest-ad-network-for-sale/ I think that was actually brought up before...but I'm unsure how true it is, as the rumor has not spread very far, and it's been a month since it was started.
From my point of view they already reacted by offering all their publishers a $25,00 bonus and bump in affiliate pay outs(from 2 to 5%) This seems like an attempt to keep their publishers from not abandoning the program. For now I will stick with them despite my $4,44 earnings last month. But they need to do something about their reporting issues
I voiced some concerns immediately after Auction Ads launched and was subjected to nothing but bullying from the likes of Shoemoney. I realize he's not the main cheese over there now, but I have high hopes since Patrick Gavin is in the saddle so to speak. He has been terrific with TLA.
You do realize that MediaWhiz has been a part of AuctionAds from the very start don't you? And that they've been on complete control for quite a while now...with very little changes in many peoples stats.
I'm not denying that their names was in there, but Shoe was calling the shots in the beginning. Especially when referring to 'his' support team, etc... Which was terrible.
Has no-one tested out whether or not AA is being accurate? Here's what I would do: * Put belly-button lint/sweetie wrapper/used pen/other rubbish up for auction. * Set up an AA custom channel ad on a dummy page. * Click through and buy. * Repeat three or four times, perhaps also asking friends to buy from yours or you to buy from their dud auctions. It would cost about $5 to $10 bucks in fees, but you'd have (a) evidence of bugs (or perhaps no evidence of bugs), and (b) a great scoop for your blog. PS: I've just emailed Auction Ads about why my account has been displaying earnings of $0.922 (yes, that's 92 and a fifth cents!) but with zero on the detailed reports for the last few weeks.
