I have been using Adwords as my only source of advertising. I currently pay for 2 keywords. It is very costly as my keywords are both about 1.20 each. I would like to use a similar PPC over on Yahoo. Is it worth it??

I still need to learn how to index my site correctly as it is not popping up on the "organic" side of google.

    BTW, my site is www.thecorralwesternwear.com

    Thanks!!

The first thing you need to do is not only target your site with JUST TWO KEYWORDS, but as many as possible using the keyword analysis tools online.

Try targetting initially as per the Geo Graphical targets only.

Schedule your ads to run at a scheduled time, if its possible for you.

Try out optmising your ads to decrease you CPC and incraese your CTR and quality score.

Organic Lisiting requires too much patience and perseverance to succeed. Try out off page promotion for site initially, including article submission, blogs, press releases etc.

    Thanks

    Thanks for the reply.....

These 2 keywords have performed pretty well for me. I have tried others, but they just get clicked on and passed..

As for the other advertising I need to educate myself on that stuff as I really have no idea of what I am doing.:(

it is very important to use yahoo and msn because the competition is much less and therfore the CPC is much lower and your ROI should improve do not neglect Yahoo and MSN it will be worth the effort. Also, you should definitely expand your keyword list and see if you can find some neglected keywords that you pay less for.

    Howdy.

In summary, Google will get you more traffic, but Yahoo! and the others are generally cheaper per conversion.

Now that Yahoo!'s interface has joined the 21st century, it's certainly worth a go, IMHO.

I would definately consider putting something in both yahoo and msn. Google will likely eat the bulk of all traffic to your site, but keep in mind it is typicall cheaper on the other 2. Furthermore, look into setting spending limits on your 2 words. This might free up some resources to try our other, maybe more specific, keywords. You can even submit multiple Ads per keyword group and Google will determine which drives more traffic. Don't limit yourself to that little bit of advertising, there are many other options available...
