One method is posting in Yahoo Answers to get a quick result. It is a short lived SERP normally.

I am in the first 30 for very competitive keywords and they don't send my much traffic. so i doubt whether getting in 40-50 is a great success

Yes!But Google is giving too much importance to it

you can reach top 10 within 10 hours for certain less important keywords...

I don't want to sound like a party pooper, but this is old news.

Google routinely favors certain authority sites for a period of time, until the abuse gets out of hand.

Wikipedia, IMDB, Squidoo etc. have all had their days at the top of the SERPs. My guess is that 6 months from now, Yahoo Answers will fall back to page 2.

Its not like its page one for anything popular now anyways. I played around with this over the past month and typically the brief traffic isn't worth the effort.

I imagine your keywords aren't hugely competitive then.

Links in answers are nofollow, so it does your site no good for SEO purposes.

So an Answer with a link to your site may end up in the top 10 for keywords not overly competitive - but they only last a couple of days.

Lastly - if, for whatever reason this is working for you, why would you bring it up in a public forum, and encourage more spamming which will only end up causing yahoo to implement rules which will make it more difficult for you?

If I had a cool technique that worked, I wouldn't spread it all over the forums and end up shooting myself in the foot in the long run.

Its happening already - brand new spam crackdowns

as with all kinds of spamming, you will be caught out in the end and you will be banned. you might have top ranks today, but when google finds out about it, you will be punished.

Does 3000 posts mean that you are respected ? No, It means that you are old and too long on this forum. :D

If your finding is true, wauw to you...
