Sorry, I transposed the W and M. (I meant BMW) As in this thread: How did vBSEO Buy a Young Entrepreneur a BMW M3 Luxury Car]
Even i have installed VBseo today, lets see what happens to me But i won't buy a BMW I have some other plans
I have installed the VBSeo on the 7th Sep 07 where my stats were : Threads: 1,181, Posts: 2,154, Members: 392, Active Members: 392 And now my stats are : Threads: 1,202, Posts: 2,224, Members: 418, Active Members: 418 I haven't still check out the Search Engine stats
Lets see, as far as indexed pages are concerned, my site used to have 50K pages indexed back in the start of August.. now there are 126K pages indexed.
What were they on the fifth? In order to compare apples and oranges, one must first have both apples and oranges. As you only gave us the middle point and the after point, we have nothing to compare it too. I mean, if you were getting 20 threads daily all through august, your 20 new posts since installing vBSEO won't be all that impressive
I looked at VBSEO when it came out and was interested but I think you are giving away practically any SEO benefit you may gain by using it because of thier greedy insistence on placing an outbound link on every single page of your forum back to them so it is probably a net-loss, or break-even at best. Maybe theoretically might be some net-improvement but I doubt it. You would have to create 2 identical sites, 1 with vbSEO, 1 without and test it to really know for sure so I wont trash them without such proof, but having 1,000 outbound links to a non-reciprocated site is probably going to hurt you more than any benefit from using it. All my threads are indexed fine by Google not using it but interested to hear if you percieve an improvement.
Thats really good. What about SERPs? have they changed at all? noticed an increase in google traffic?
It uses too much server resources and makes the forum slow down Tooo much host complains I hate Vbseo
Iam also expierencing some strange faults My members can't login and they get strange blank pages after posting Forum has also gone slow and too many database errors
FYI The copyright links have rel=nofollow applied. However, there is a configuration setting to turn the links off completely, and just keep the copyright notice in place without any link.
