    Hello,

How can we track conversions (sales) on a website that does not have shopping cart. Even if tracking code is implemented on the "Thank You Page" after a user exits, how it can be tracked whether user performed some actions that can be considered shopping.

Does Google have any special tool to track such conversions (sales) ;)

You can use Analytics for this. Technically, a conversion doesnt just mean a sale, but a sign-up for a newsletter, an e-mail form filled out, or even a visit to a certain page (anything you want). I'm not really sure how far you can take it using Analytics' tracker, in terms of what you said though - about what someone does once they exit the site. It might not be possible.

    Thanks!

but if someone wants to run campaigns where he counts only 'sales' as conversion, how we can track in absence of shopping cart on his website.

This scenario is closer to Adwords PPA but not PPA!!

How are the sales being done? (e.g. in person, finalized on the phone, etc?) If the site admin has an area where he/she can fulfill a customer's order, then you can put the tracking code on that final screen. Otherwise I dont think there are any other options for this.

YES, This is fine. The scenario is that the client has payment information published on a page on his website. So even though, a visitor visits this page, how we can ensure that he has done purchase. Visitors may sometime do purchase and send payments as per details provided and sometime exit with no shopping.

So let me know if there is any other way to track sales without making any drastic changes on clients website.

    Thanks! for your other suggestions...
