Best Free Blogs for Building Links?

Hi, I'm wandering if i can obtain some info on some good free blog hosts where you can make your own blog or blogs and obtain a link worth something. I noticed Blogger has this redirect info page:

    http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=42125

which leads me to believe incoming links from there are worthless in terms of seo value. Your info is appreciated.:)

Good to know. I'll avoid getting blogger links in the future. As far as I know, WP blogs pass juice just fine, although comments are nofollow.

I'm not familiar with what Blogger offers, but Wordpress is pretty amazing. There's a plug-in or at least a hack for whatever you want to do. You'll learn a lot of PHP and CSS with Wordpress if you host it on your own server.
Comments are nofollow unless you install Dofollow plug-in...and I'm not sure you can do that on wordpress.com hosted blogs. Haven't tried, honestly. I'll check on that now.

I have tried and used many free and paid blogging sites and scripts, and at the end of it all, i now choose to use blogger as my main blog, and i have a wordpress blog hosted on my own domain too.

Let me ask a stupid question.

To confirm if my Blog site has NOFOLLOW. Do I have to view the HTML Source for that page to verify it?

Thanks Tarponkeith... I have Wordpress set up. I also have Blogspot. But I still haven't decided which one to focus on. I just found out about this NOFOLLOW. I guess if Wordpress has NOFOLLOW. Until I host the Blog and have the FOLLOW plug-in, otherwise it is a waste of time.

Back to the original intent of this thread. Which blog sites are recommended (SEO friendly)?

I would use blogger aka blogspot if someone could confirm whether or not posted content is seo friendly. Don't really care about nofollow tags on comments. That redirect page i posted above leads me to believe its not, but i'm not sure, and yeah, if someone has info on other seo friendly blogs that would be great. Particularly because it would be multiple blogs on different servers.

You can make a simple blog on tumblr.com , google loves this site.
Make sure you put some good content though, or they will delete you.

Even wordpress allows it. You can download adsense related plugin and have ADSESNE.

i think blog post links are about worthless now though because wordpress has nofollow and blogger redirects the comment links.
