You shouldn't really worry about it. Treat your site as if a Google editor can come by any day to check it out. Focus long term and increase the quality of your site. Don't just sell and buy links. Here is a cool article by Aaron called How to: Build links without being called a spammer.

Your right thats why i gave you the red for agreeing that threads like these help anyone...
PS.... im sure i left my name when i did

Now i go over to your Directory forum and dont see my "advertising banner" on the top in rotation (the blank spot is thier where mine was)
but you surly do enjoy the monthly fee im paying you... How fast we forget when i donated to you

Was that last comment made for me or You?

When everyone reads this thread and refreshes the screen at your forum they Now see what your about...

Does anyone see my banner in the rotation? or have i gone mad?

I refreshed that forum several times, and cannot see malcolm's biz-giant banner :(

Sorry to hear malcolm, hope forum owner will fix it for you and will extend your time duration in the previous cost.

I think google should ban this kind of bid directory, otherwise anyone have enough money them get high ranking, the sites content seems useless, that is the very bad condition for search market

Well, I believe that bid directories are here to stay just like the general web directories. I won't be surprised that if in the future, another new type of directories will emerge as an addition to the bid directory and general web directory models.

Malcolm - If you and the other gangsters on here want to red rep me, that's fine. It does nothing more than humor me and prove how abundant the ignorance is here within this group.

As for your banner. I have already sent you proof that you MONTHLY as in (30) Day banner ad has expired. Terms and conditions are clear both on the advertisement page HERE (Note - NO monthly recurring subscriptions) and on the Paypal Form.

I've attached both your payment recept (where it CLEARLY states the ad is for one month and the email I replied to you first thing this morning. You didn't even have the courtesy to give me time to reply before you come running back to DP to try and spread rumors and lies.

if you ask me i really think google was just doing a big review on all sites. Someone from google removed my ' google checkout ' icon from my adwords because they could not find the google banner on my site. I do not use adwords but if i did i would have been bad.

This happened last week while they were reviewing my site. I corrected this problem and they left me alone now but i think its funny that it happened the same week that the directories got it.

someone at google is cracking down on their policies.

' this kind of reminds me when i lived in new york as a teenager i could drink and piss in the street and not get in trouble, one giuliani became mayor i found myself in court every week'.

    hello...

I never heard off a "1 month subscription" it usually goes on for a minimum off
3 months to say the least if not longer and its not like i canceled anything as
the payment is still deducted "Monthly" thats why its called a subscription...

Even if so why didnt i get altleast a notice saying its about to expire?

I made the error so i apologize as i thought you had done this
on purpose to try and jerk my chain...

If you wish me to renew then send me a PM and i will as i thought it was a reoccurring subscription

    thx

Malcolm...it's not a "subscription" in any form. It's a payment. As I said before..it's listed on the ad page and all over the paypal payment form you had to complete and click submit on.

Yes, you did make an "error" as you call it. I accept your apology such as it is even though you wasted no time in trying to cause further chaos by threatening me in your email then turning around before I even had a chance to politely inform you of the situation and coming here to air untrue rumors which ultimately led to you making you look like a fool.

As for the red reps...I don't give a rats ass about your red rep or anyone elses. It's pointless, meaningless and serves no purpose to red rep someone other than to give yourself a hardon and make you think you've accomplished something. And for the record, for each one of the pointless red reps, I usually end up with 3x-4x that amount in green reps with other's privately admitting they agree.

I just noticed that you also re-submitted another payment for an additional month on your banner. Thanks but look for a refund shortly as the spot is already spoken for.

    tom

Not a problem tom i understand and again i apologize for not researching better before making my decisions

Your right red rep dont mean shit to me either ;)

You could have kept the "funds" as its not why i resubmitted
I resubmitted cause i made the mistake in judging you in the first place :)

    take care

It's funny to see how many users are arguing about what? This topic is not meaningless, and I do think it gives a good picture of the days web directories (not all of them, though).

I do believe there are a lot of work we need to deal with, to make sure that such things won't happen us again, and I agree with Tom's view on this, I couldn't have said it any better tom, and I do find it quite funny that there are users, protecting such threads?

Hopefully, all the web directories involved in these kind of things, will learn a lesson, and actually consider changing few parts on their web directory.
Again said, I am not targeting this post to a specific user or anyone else, it is just a friendly post, and something a web directory owner should consider.
