I got a PM from a peon with zero posts trying to buy a link in my signature. Selling links in signature isn't for me. But it kind of makes me nervous. Could that be a google employee?

No its some noob... A google employee would just look at all the people selling links and know we're selling. They're not idiots.

I doubt that it is a Google employee, and by the way, you do not appear to have a signature, although you are perfectly entitled to one.

Yeah. But its not the signature links to worry about. If you accept the offer, he gets your paypal address to pay you and you are f*cked. Its someone with zero posts.

I don't deal with starngers normally. Just do business with trusted sources only.

I would just ignore the requests from 0 post members.

Just choose to ignore the PM if you do not wish to deal with him. Has he PMed only you or to others too ?

Yes but not that they are from Google lol, maybe they think getting a higher inbox count it good or something lol.

BTW Not sure if we are talking about the same Peon but he showed me his site and seems quite serious about it.

He may be legitimate but you would think that he would make a few posts before private messaging offers to buy.

I got the same PM and he is going alphabetically, as the PM he sent to me was sent to 5 DP members whose username starts with A (including me).

Could be a returned banned member ;) I suggest you forward the PM to a moderator so they can check his signup IP and profile :)

Probably too busy or lazy. Maybe ask him for some more info like what sites he owns. Then check the whois of his domains to see if they owned by same person. Plus you get some more details about him.

Paypal payment should be OK. If it's worth it to you try it. If he doesn't pay then don't add his link to your signature. Simple. :)

    HTH

Why is it a problem if he gets your Paypal address ?
Are people able to hack your Paypal account with just your address ?

Paypal address uses the email of one of my sites.

Remember that it is a peon with zero posts and itrader.

    So that made me suspicious.
