Affiliate link cloaking hides/disguises your affiliate link so that your commissions can't be hi-jacked.

how could your commissions be hi jacked if ppl see ur affiliate code/?

 

They will change your affiliate name to theirs.

 

sorry that makes no sense what so ever,

if you post ur affiliate code on a forum or HTML site, HOW COULD anyone change it?? they dont have access to change the page so cannot change it
