hey guys just wanted to know, what causes products to go to the top page of the clickbank listings in each catagory? is it pure volume of sales or something else?
from my product evaluations, i think sales volume dominates and gravity comes in second. I'm also pretty sure the refund rate is calculated. I know than volume of sales holds more importance because my product has less gravity (its under a month old) but is listed higher than others even though the others have more gravity.
i am reluctant to agree about refund rate... unless i am mistaken, most of the top products in the marketing ang employment catagories have 90% or similar refund rates! thanks for the info though... does anyone have an exact formulla?>
From what I understood, clickbank thinks 10-15% is acceptable. Beyond that raises a flag which could get your products booted. I can't imagine any products having a 90% refund rate.
that seems right i think i was mistaking th refund % with reffered percent... does anyone know what factors go into computing the popularity; as speda mentiioned this is the default sort... thanks
The placements are based on Affiliate commission %, Highest are listed first. Of course different listing for each category.
Depends what search order you are doing - search results default to popularity - which in turn pulls up top gravity first... As you set different search results you'll get different 1st page listings. i.e. you can search for low gravity and the lowest will come up first, doesn't mean that page 1 results of low gravity mean anything though... In general the gravity takes lead by defautl. You should be utilizing other sites/tools like cbtrends cbdeluxe etc. to cherry pick products, the marketplace is great for general searching however isn't always effective with analytics or pin-pointing new hot-sellers... Best.
