Uh huh, another one of your meaningless posts you thrown out there claiming you know things because you are a psychiatrist. Maybe you should find a new way solving your own issues other than ranting at this forum. You have been banned at WPW already. Now you're going down the same road again over here. Maybe you can try staying on topic for once and teach us something that hasn't been said a million times before.
ok go publish the emails from my former partner if it makes you happy ... or say something useful once in a while ... Or get back on topic We are not the only ones reading this .... (in case you forgot, this is not email but a forum) Mike
1. I'm not a psychiatrist and have never claimed to be one. I'm a psychologist. 2. I'm not banned at WPW and never was. 3. My posts here ARE on topic, unlike yours.
Something has happen and to be honest I’m not really sure what. To me it seems a strange way for google to penalize a site, if the suspected links did not pass any value or sites were totally removed from google then I could understand it. If it’s about paid links then I’m not sure why www.urldir.org has been hit by google as it only has a few backlinks and most of them are from a sitewide from my own site. Thanks Brian
I see that BQTM keep improving in the SERP... http://www.google.com/search?q=bqtm+directory&hl=en&start=40&sa=N Its position is rising everyday.. It was >10 pages before, yesterday on 7th page, now on 5 th page.. also noble directory is back http://www.google.com/search?q=nobl...s=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a Comments please.
Very interesting, mainsearches has now moved up to page 3 http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=ma...&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&start=20&sa=N Congratulations to the directories that are back to normal. Thanks Brian
It is funny to see how people can just say Google Sucks. Is it the same google which all of you preached? Pete i am not that Einstein because no one exactly can tell you what happened other than the people working for google. But to an extent i have developed a theory. Why the sites that were penaltized were chosen to be penaltized? These sites were getting heavily linked from partners / or people who were selling links at the specific point in time which google was tracking. Now i do not know which time exactly but all the ones listed by Dave were buying links crazily to boost their PR in the recent update, and/or get more traffic to get the most value of bids (Bidding Dir.) But i still believe that this was not a permanent penalty, as what are the justifications of Noble Directory coming back? http://www.google.com/search?rls=GG...l=en&q=noble+web+directory&btnG=Google+Search And if they were to be penalties google would've actually banned the domain so i think it is just a change in algo which is being worked out by google. In the meantime which i think is that google is testing the sites, and many people are freaked out about the directories so they are not promoting ... so google want to see the difference between the two times.. Promoting vs. Not promoted directories.. Thereafter, they will probably come up with a new algo and most sites will rank where they deserved by the new algo. Now many would wonder i am saying well promoted. Was idk.in well promoted ??? It was well ranked / getting very good traffic. But my methodologies of promotion was different. I added unique content and traffic came by itself. By adding new things and additions to the directory keep bringing in the traffic so i never felt a need of getting high pr links. Remember it is just a theory, like Einstein's one. Which cannot be proven as no one can travel at speed of light.
Some of you have called it a ban. I guess it is a penalty officially, but in reality it is a ban. If a site ranks for nothing than frogengine.com and not even frogengine.com blog then you realize that even though the site is indexed, it's not being found by anybody unless they specify the domain name itself. It's also pretty obvious that the sites penalized are the ones heavily promoted on the Digitalpoint directory forums. Danny Sullivan mentioned this section in a post which leads me to believe that he himself is aware of somebody up there in Google being aware of what is going on here as well. Not a surprise to me that this forum is a place to look for sites going against what Google is trying to stand for. Another example of Google trying to make an example of a few high profile sites to discourage others from buying links for the sake of PR. It seems to have worked with real estate sites being penalized, but don't see it happening here. Even though it would be great if there was more creative conversations about directories rather than sales and marketing of pagerank and pagestrength. Mike
Smub, one of my very low profile directory is also penalized. I never bought any link for that site as well as I never sold any sitewide from that site. Crazily ? All of them ? Are you sure ? And what about the rest ?
same thing with frogengine, didn't even really promote it in the last 2 or 3 months being busy with other stuff.
Those people whose sites have not been penalized so far, are coming up with new theories everyday. It doesn't seem they ever bought any link or sold.
which is why I put froggy on display for others to analyze what happened. So whoever has a good idea on why it was banned ... bring it!
