Hmm...

If I want to submit to hundreds of directories, I prefer to hire someone to do it. For time saving.

How many of these directories actually add free submissions? I see quite a few that certainly used to add sites but who no longer bother. In my experience it makes much more sense to get your submission into a directory when the owners are still looking for quality content and when the directory is still relatively unknown.
