I recently discovered someone who was using up a lot of my bandwidth by hotlinking to some of my photos. If they had at least provided a link back I wouldnt mind so much. Yes, I thought it was funny. I could have been meaner and switched the images with porn or something but I decided just to be funny with it. EDIT ---> It is over, the guy discovered the trick and removed the pics. Actually it turned out that he was pretty cool about it. He had not only hotlinked to my images but he copied and pasted the text from my site. He has apologized and straightened all that out.
Hot linkers are always a bit of fun. Just wait until you get the chance with mess with someone's eBay auction by replacing the hotlinked pics with something "inappropriate"
I love to do that with hotlinkers, but I use hard core porn or images that says that the visitors pc is infected or something like that. One guy hotlinked and used the hotlinked pic as a header once. I made a new image telling the visitors to f*** off from this site, very funny. Its to bad there is no way to get that visitors to go to your site instead.
Maybe if the image links back to you, Im not sure. Thats what the guy has now. I gave him permission to hotlink as long as he made the images hyperlinks back to the site.
