This is a idea I have been kicking around for a while. I decided to implement it yesterday to see how it works out. The feedback has be very positive so far from submitters but I would like more. I think there is a lot of room for improvement and this is still in Beta. Check out the details of in my video review directory.

Nice idea - best of luck. It's always good to get feedback from a site. I'm sure as well if you can pick up some business then you could charge a premium rate for this service. Until everybody else does it too in which case its uniformity across directories will debase its financial status.
I can't see your video because I don't use Quicktime but is it the same idea? I am actually reading the users description and giving a very brief overview of their website in my own words. ( for regular video reviews) Express Video Reviews will be much more thorough and have a lot more details. This is done for every submission that is accepted not just an extra option.
redgsr, will there be a voice over, if thats the correct term, talking about the sites review, or will it be a silent movie showing what the reviewer looked at?
There are a few regular video reviews that were done yesterday. You can check them out by clicking on the "latest" link at the top of every page. I am also considering allowing the submitter to submit an article that I will post with their video review.
redgsr, thats better than what i was expecting its cool, just one point that i would make, that is any video should probably not be longer than it would actually be to just go and visit the site and find out the stuff yourself. But initially im very impressed, i think its a very ggod idea.
Thanks for the comments pipes. Eventually I want the videos to be good enough that the website owner will want to post the review on their website. The video could also be used as a viral tool for the website owner if you think outside the box a little. That's why I host the videos at Youtube so the website owners can use the video as they please.

As a user and directory browser it doesn't interest me at all. As a directory owner I guess it's whatever brings in the sales. Does this really work? Do websites really want a video review?.. and are prepared to pay a premium for this service? James.
There is no "extra premium" for this service. This is not an extra option for the directory - it is the only option. There are definitely ways that webmasters can use the video to have a viral effect and drive more traffic to their website. Thanks for your feedback. I've been thinking at this for a while and I'm glad to see that someone else implemented the ideea. I'm sure it will become pretty popular once other directories will start to offer similar services. This sort of thing, ( did not think of reviews ) but in general advertising on the web will become common in the next few years.
Correct .. Plus this does add much value as its newer technogy and indexing this is relatively new content is a step forward as well as other things like any new hand held devices that are our everyday lives. Front page looks Killer thx malcolm
