That has already been done, find his user profile >> List all posts>> you will see that he told people what his next blog post was going to be about and then posted the blog after his post here.

Great, it at least tells me that PR didn't update in August as some webmasters were claiming.

Alright. I keep my fingers crossed.

And i think he stated something like i can GUESS that there won't be any PR update at least for the next couple of weeks.

Guess is different, and we know Google as well~

None, did you read the thread?

mikey1090 had stated that MattCutts had intimated that the toolbar update was not going to happen anytime soon, xc60 asked what was the source of the news.

My answer was MattCutts post here on DP.

I trust that is OK with you. ;)

Well, u heard it from Matt...no PR for a while, my guess:

They skipped this one as they are testing the new algo and they will update NOV 1 (the next update after this one) give or take 3-5 days

It appears the deep crawl is happening at the moment, a few of my stable sites have received more GoogleBot hits and badwidth consumption in the last 7 days then they did in the whole of August.

When i say "stable" sites, i mean fairly static sites that don't get new pages added or havn't had any real change in backlinks so the crawl rate is consistent.

Going by that, i'll predict the first week of October. The usual pattern is deep crawl for 2-3 weeks and the snapshot is taken, crawl goes back to normal for 7-14 days while they compute the data/values and the public export rolls out.

Anyone else noticing deep crawls in their logs? If what i'm seeing is true it's good news, the backlinks obtained and pages added up until now will be included in the new results.

Does google still uses PR in ranking pages?

    I am doubt about that.

That's been going on since the end of July or earlier (since I spent most of July in hospital, it may well have been earlier) for me.

    hope you are well now!
So people there are more important things in life than pagerank, and this is coming from me having 2 sites pr0 with about 10000 backlinks.
If you are healthy and you spent some good and quality times pr is meaningless for you...(the pr will come even you worry about it even you wont)

Yeah - that may be true to some extent - but have you noticed the price diffirence you will get if your site is PR1 vs your site is PR7 if you wanted to sell your site? I think the value of a site these days is measured by their PR among other things - hence if you have a website business - you will be as worried about PR as FIRE Services not coming to your Factory on time :)

Selling link is good but google hates that. I think selling of links is the main reason for those who sell links that why they are very obsessed with a high PR.
