It's pr 4 directory. I am confused what should i keep the price for the regular listing and featured listing. Below is the link Paid Directory Thanks for the Help
I wouldn't change your prices just yet, they are about average. I would seriously consider adding deep links mod and also stating the term length of your links somewhere on your submit page, even right next to the name of the links.
Contact an0n (Rob) here at DP and he'll do this for you. PM him through this link http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=21186.
You can contact An0n for the deeplinks mod. He just installed the mod for me on one of my directories and it works great. Highly recommended to go to him.
If you're not getting any submissions at that price, I would lower it a bit. I clicked around a little bit and would bet money that at one point that was a free directory that switched to paid. You've got a bunch of links in there that wouldn't make it in a lot of directories, or could be better categorized. I would go through and weed out links that were submitted free and are crap and get rid of them. Nobody wants to pay $9 for a link and be several pages down. On the other hand, if the site has been paid all along, and you're making money on it then I'm full of crap and don't know what I'm talking about. Just my opinion.
you are right first it was free then it has been made a paid directory actually yestarday only i sold 3 featured links on it.
Well selling 3 $19 links in one day is pretty darn good in my opinion. I have to wonder then why you are pondering lowering prices. If the regular link sales are the problem, then I surely would add more categories/subcats then start cleaning up the directory.
It was only for one day otherwise i am able to sell 1 in 3 days time Biggest plus point for this directory is it is on the 4 th position of directorycritic. this is y i bought it as it has traffic
OK but if you want more submissions, consider this. In the computer and internet/directories sub category, you have 17 featured links and ten regular links. If I spent $9 on a link, where would my link end up? If I spent $9 and my link was a PR1, I would end up 12 pages down?
Also you should check and make sure all links submitted are actually working websites. Who knows if that one webmaster switched there website around and the description does not match up or domain is parked. Eh, i just woke up and not fully awake. Hope you can figure out what i am trying to say. Do a mass cleanup.
Very true, certainly makes the job tougher to sell featured's on already overcrowded categories, and most general directories main source of featured link purchases are around the internet categories. A tough problem to solve, possibly breaking down the main internet categories into lots more sub categories is the answer? And good work selling 3 featured's in a day
analysis your directory condition and finalize your marketing plociy. after that you think about the price.
You can start with cleaning the directory. Check if the submitted sites are working or not, suitable or not. I don't think such a listing (title, description etc.) is good for your directory's quality: http://www.search-dir.com/detail/link-5377.html Good luck.
http://www.search-dir.com the directory you purchased using one our free phpld templates, and you or previous owner has been using it without giving credits to the designer and sponsor of the template Can you please confirm with the previous owner if he paid for the template's footer links removal cost? In either case you cannot use the template by saying "Designed by someone else"
keep price of $2 for regular listings and $10 for featured listings, also ensure that you keep the designer links of phpld template.
