How is the Directory Market shaping up this month

Whats new this month ?

This month seems to have kicked in with a number of as yet unproven negative issues, which have been neither validated or confirmed from source

But we believe that there are many positives and indeed a number of negatives that are relevant to the Directory Market (and they need addressing but there are many other threads around to post in for that)

One main factor that essentially needs to run through the Directory Sector is to promote and focus on the positives of the market

So post here with something positive

In the end of September I'm going to Roma for a short 7-days visit (just as a tourist)
So, I promise I'll step into Basilic Saint Peter just to whisper few words in hope it will help all of us.

 

DP still has a section for directories, and I set a new record with Adsense yesterday.

 

Will you ask them to play some songs from Pavarotti too, it will make your day, I have listened to him for years and continue to do so

Andrea Bocelli too

 

I have started three new directory based portals, this is a massive new project for me and I am hoping to launch another 3 by the end of 2007. Here is a list:

I have also moved around half of my sites to a new VPS server and will be moving over all my directories in the next few months.

 

BAMS first sife-sift theme to be launched in some days.

BAMS Directory had the Daily Listing mod added to it.

I am planning to introduce some different concepts with BAMS, a designer has been hired for the same.

Planned to start a Directory Network.

Will it be out before our new directory which we will launch in the next 5 to 15days, ours is a whole new concept that will move the benchmarks for Directories it in a new area

Ours will be client driven as opposed to SE or ranking driven, its based on taking the solution to the user giving them more control and operability over the Directory

Its pretty cool we will guarantee you that !

Nice Pete and would love to see that. You know me by now and I am an open critic without boundary so if its really what its meant to be that would really be useful to submitters and not for directory owners or attempting deception then it would be a plus addition. Anyways I know you always make good on what you do and try always to keep up all with whats good for the industry.

It's based on a new concept of operability that to date I have not seen on any other Directory

 

A custom made Directory List with directory forums is in the making.

EInternetIndex has launched its first free PhpLD Template and another 2 in making. We are planning to realese 10+ themes with 10+ wp themes also

Content sections are now started to fill as well just put 100 articles order.

For me... I am just completing my first month with Beacon-Directory being live. The first week of Sept. has outpaced any week I have previously had. Traffic is still growing.

My custom blog has been installed. There are still a few "glitches" but they are getting worked out.

I will also be running a contest (details are coming!), where I will be giving away some great prizes. So far, I was thinking perhaps a 30gb or 60gb video iPod maybe a Sirius Satellite Radio with a 6 month or a year prepaid plan.. I am still working out all of the details. If anyone has prize ideas feel free to PM me. Details on the contest will be release shortly on my blog.

Overall, September looks to be shaping up as a great month for me and from the looks of it lots of other owners!

For me, September, I expanded my directory email newsletter to fit the needs of my customers/visitors. I now include news, job offerings, and soon to come practice building tips for practitioners related to my niche directory.

I think client based solutions are a plus, as it is value added information and if its good information (as I am sure it will be) it will bring in more visitors/traffic seems like a definite plus factor for the road ahead as the Directory continues to develop
