It seems like it already begun. I sent hundreds of traffic (PPC) to my ringtones landing page for two days and i only converted two leads

Well from what I understand it hasn't actually started yet but will be rolling out in about 3 - 4 weeks, starting with only certain companies and then eventually I'm sure leading to all companies.

So what does that third step look like?

Step two already calls for a confirmation code.

Guess some marketing genius decided that they needed to keep more of the dosh for themselves.

If you read my blog article I expalin it all there, however, basically speculation is that it will the send another text message saying that you will be charged x.xx monthly and basically they have to answer to do you agree with either a yes or a no. Its not 100% certain if that iwll be it, but basically it will become a double opt in instead of just a single opt in.

Ha I have a hard enough time converting them with the 2 step process lol. But I assume this change is due to alot of complaints to the carriers (att, nextel, verizon, ect.) from kids adding 3 or 4 a month and simply charging it to the bill. Mabey they will impliment a access code needed to be able to bill to carrier?
