4 things in the directory world that bother me! (Link bait? nope!)

Over-heated may I be, but I am sometimes you jsut got to push things to the limits. Friend or foe, we are all in this together, and someone has to be determined to make it better.

 

To you point number #1, that is really a sales pitch I would think. You see it all the time, where ever you go. Every site has to always try to make out they are better than the rest so that they can try and get customers, vistiors, etc on board.

You see many affiliate programs saying things like "we pay some of the best commissions in the industry", when infact you go to another site and their commissions is better. lol

The above statement about commissions is just an example, but you see it happening with anything. If there is money to be made they want to make it no matter if they are not the best when they say they are.

It's really been happening this way for years and will continue to do so I guess. That's the life of business.

 

Jeff, you will be greatly missed. I know from first hand experience that the directory crowd generally speaking is not known for their backbone.
Yes, the atmosphere on DP has gone downhill. Staying away is probably a good idea unless you want to spend all day responding to baseless attacks.

Once again, sorry to see you leave, but it's probably for the best.

Oh wait so i am the bad guy now , and remember i contacted him via his own directory contact form, so i do not see why i would send him pm ? Can u explain that part ? Oh wait u mean to say i should have pmed him saying " hey jeff check ur email cause i contacted u via contact form " looks dumb wouldnt u say ? Plus it shows exactly how much importance he gives to messages send via contact form right ? My advice is to ignore Blobmaster as much as possible. He spends all his time trying to spam forums for self-promotion, creating link-farm directory schemes, and pretending to be one of the big boys. Like many of his associates, he's unhappy now because the little easy-money empire he dreamed about is crashing down around his ears.

Could it have anything to do with the fact that some people chose to duck difficult questions rather than address the issues raised? Why do you find it so difficult to change? To admit that there were things you should have done different? You were singled out by Google for special treatment. Why? You still have huge support from those you "helped" and that despite everything that has been thrown their way. Do you not think that you have a responsibility to back them up? Obviously not but it tells the story and some of us will just go back to rebuild, lessons learnt the hard way.
